Re: How to fix "Hull is too narrow"

If your ship only uses two triple turrets you could kind of avoid the problem installing those turrets in B and X positions, although they'll weigh more than in A and Y positions. But if your design uses 3 triple turrets I'm afraid there's not much we can do until the technology is researched in the...

Re: rethinking operations

In my opinion, by far the weakest point in RTW is the strategic/operational side when at war. I think it’s a very good idea your proposal to assign clear operational tasks to our ships, like fleet scout because as you said that would allow us to build CAs or light BCs without them always being paire...

Re: Rule the Waves 3 User Poll

I think there are two different questions. What I like the most, I would say designing ships and managing the fleet. But what needs to be developed more, once bugs are sorted out, I would say are the naval battles and wars. It would be much better if we could prepare shore bombardments ourselves, or...

Re: Armor Schemes and Thickness

Regarding armoured carriers, it seems in RTW3 penetration values have been reduced with respect to RTW2, so armoured flight decks are more useful now.

Re: Rule the Waves 3 - Dev Diary #4 - The Ironclad and Pre-dreadnought era

Regarding armour, don’t take my word for it but watching some of the AARs, it looks to me that in RTW3 armour quality in 1890 is just a bit inferior to that in 1900. Looking at the guns penetration figures in RTW3, it seems in 1890 battleships only need 8in belts or so to stop anything at any range ...

Re: For Liberty and Quadruple Turrets, a Rule the Waves 3 French AAR

I love the way you detail and explain the battles. It makes them very engaging and a joy to follow. Great AAR I think luck in battles can have a very important influence on the end result (tell Bismarck and that lucky hit on his rudder, or at Midway, the American dive bombers falling on the Japanese...

Re: 1890 Japan AAR

An option to get those cruisers on TP back to front line duties, could be to order a couple of the cheapest possible AMCs: they would take only 4 months to "convert" and could be assigned to TP duties freeing the more valuable ships. I don't think I would bother with the small ironclad on ...

Re: 1890 Japan AAR

Great to have a look at the 1890 start, and it does look superb. Ships designs, visually beautiful, are also very much the types we would expect at these times in these navies, without being just copies of existing ships. Well done to the NWS team. Matsushima is a very dearing design. You have sacri...
