As far as I know, Axis win a marginal victory if they hold Berlin in 1945. I don't know how feasible that is.

No ambush rules don't change. Its just that giving a readiness bonus to a corps with level 2-4 infantry equipment is a lot scarier than giving a readiness bonus to a brigade with 0 infantry equipment.
