Chuikov, sorry for my late reply. My settings: Windows resolution is 3440x1440, scaling is set to 150%, I first need to set the ingame resolution to 3840x1620. The screen is then too big to play. Exit the game and run the dxwnd as admin .

I finally found a solution to this scaling/resolution problem on my 3400x1440 screen

I downloaded the DXwnd program and run the strategic command exe file through it. It works like a charm now. You just need to play with the video settings in dxwnd a bit.

Available are only 4, 2016x864 and 1280x800 are the only 2 playable, but the window is much smaller than the screen. The other two are zoomed in to the extent the buttons are not visible.

After so many years this bug still persists...

I have 150% scaling on windows and the game doesn't allow me to set full screen. It is either too small or it fits over the screen boundaries.

If I disable scaling then the text and icons in game are too small if I set the game to my monitors ...
