Re: My First Campaign

I am also a beginner on SC but something that could help on your first campaign is reading the included Strategy Guide. It is available from the launcher on in-game, on the top right corner in the campaign screen there is a submenu from where you can access the manual or the strategy guide.

Re: De-selecting ALL scripts on a new game

Can't really say what the effect would be as I've never read of it being tried. Seems like it would make the game more staid and simple, I don't think it'd produce any surprises from the AI. For the most part it'll just maneuver the pieces around in the same way it already does.

Probably some ...

De-selecting ALL scripts on a new game

Like I mentioned in some other posts, I am relatively new to SC and, although I seem to have managed to learn enough of the game to be successful to some extent, I am on my fourth playthrough as the axis in the 1939 Scenario, which I will try to finish  this time. Anyway, I was wondering what ...

Youtube videos/playlists for conquering the world (Europe in this case)

Whenever I play SC (specially with the Axis), I always turn off the music and put one of those YT videos/playlists playing in the background which gives a certain ambience. I decided to share the links here and hope you guys enjoy it
(Also, share yours in the comments if you have any)

If so this would explain the difference, as a sub that moves before attacking attacks with reduced effectiveness.
So, similar to the readiness bonus on land units. Thank you.

Re: Unit experience (yet another noob question)

This is because AI controlled units can be set to have an experience bonus, although it does not look as if that setting has been activated.

But if these are AI controlled units then it would make sense, and your own units should not display this?

That makes sense. In fact, only AI units ...

I had the same issue with the flags and posted it here in the forum. It has been solved (read thread: https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... 8#p5141658 if you want a easy solution).

Unit experience (yet another noob question)

After reading the manual, I understand that the 5 simbols on the unit panel refer to the unit's experience but, for example, these two additional symbols (see screenshot), what do they mean?

Re: De-entrenchment value (question)

Basically, a de-entrenchment value of one or greater will lower the entrenchment level of an enemy unit with each strike. Entrenched units have a greater chance of suppressing strength point losses, so when you can you want to chip away at some of that advantage with ranged units like air and ...

De-entrenchment value (question)

When checking the unit properties, there is a "De-entrenchment" stat. Most of the units have either 1 or 0. What does this stat do in combat?

Question about the 25% bonus on readiness.

Page 52 of the manual states that " If the contact results in combat, then the hidden unit (which counts as the attacker) has its readiness increased by 25% for the combat calculation "
My question is:
Does this apply a 25% bonus to readiness or does it add a 25% bonus?

For example, a unit with 50 ...

Re: Help reading combat prediction for a begginner.

Check the morale and readiness of both subs. It may be that one is better (due to having more supply).

That is exactly my point, the U30 has better overall stats (higher Strength, higher Morale and higher Readiness) so it would be expected to perform better, or I am missing something. The only ...

Re: Help reading combat prediction for a begginner.

No, I don't think so. I see that the U30 has more experienced because of the half cross and the U32 has none. Or does it not mean experience?

Help reading combat prediction for a begginner.

Hi. Noob here. Only recently I got into the SC series and started with WiE. Still learning some basic concepts of the game. I have a question about combat predicitions (see screenshots). So, looking at the stats of both my units, wouldn't it be expected that my U-30 sub would perform better in ...

Reporting.
The issue was fixed by installing the standalone Unfortunate son's mod.
Many thanks to OldCrownBalthazor.

Re: Error on sprites flags on map

well, the patch is recent.

There could be a bug introduced when this graphic mod got sent to Matrix to be processed with the newest version. I had the mod file in installed before it got sent out to Matrix so I was allowed to do a promotional video covering Unfortunate Son's Counter Mod ...

But the mod is included in the game (as for the latest patch), that is why I posted it here.

Error on sprites flags on map

Hi all. I am new to this series and last week I bought SC:WiE. I am still learning the ropes of the game. I was trying the settings on the game, mainly graphical, and whenever I enable the included "unfortunate's son counter MOD" I get this national flags bugged on the cities (see screenshot)
. Is ...
