@VPaulus - thanks for the heads up about the new Intel driver for the integrated graphics. It wasn't showing up when I ran the 'check for updates' in the Intel driver app installed on my laptop, so I had to download and install using the link you provided (thanks!).

And the result .... drum roll ...

Checked thed BIOS and there's no option to disabled the integrated graphics.

I've set the Global Settings in the Nvidia Control Panel to use the dedicated graphics card (i.e. for every programme), and done something similar in Windows (Settings / System / Display / Graphics), but neither has made ...

I've also got the 'white screen of death' after updating to v3.01 of CSME (and whatever the problem its also made the JTCS install (East Front, West Front, Rising Sun) I have on the same laptop unplayable - it also now suffers from the 'white screen of death':(
