Re: blurry text

This is an issue that comes up frequently. So I'll resurrect this older thread to provide a little more clarity. The most common reason (usually for users on a laptop) is that the game is running with Intel integrated video. Unfortunately the Intel drivers have always had blurry text issues with the...

<t>I'm guessing that this may just be a case of the way your LCD displays 800x600 resolution. I'd guess that your LCD's native resolution is 1024x768. Any other resolution will appear 'blocky' since everything has to be 'scaled' to fit the actual resolution of 1024x768 (the actual number of pixel el...

<r>Paul Vebber claimed that he runs on NT 4.0 with SPWAW. Only in solitaire mode (human vs. AI) since the PBEM has problems (under NT). I'm wondering if campaigns also have problems under NT 4.0. <r>Earlier posts mentioned a problem with the sound formats being a bit different for a number of the sounds and this may be confusing the drivers for the SoundBlaster. Part of the "Torch" landings in November (?), 1942. Most of the French troops put up little resistance, but there were others who held out doggedly. I can't recall if any of the fighting extended into Algeria or not; I think it did.

I like the idea myself, especially for the American "replacement" system. Bring your infantry back to full strength, but reduce the experience (by how much would be the big question). So the option to rebuild a full squad - gain the firepower, but lose the experience.
