<t>I've played through to the end as German, US and USSR. I found that as my units experience progressed to amazing levels, it just got too easy. Right now I'm in a German campaign, its about Jan '43 and I have elite Tigers, elite Engineers (on halftracks) elite sp flak and elite sp guns (the Lorrai...

<t>One trick I've learned the hard way:<br/> <br/> When attacking, the first thing I do before deploying my troops is to set a single objective hex for ALL of my units. Click on the target hex, usually the far edge of the map centered N-S, then click on the green flag. (At least I think its the gree...

Also - if you are playing with C&C on, it takes an order to call in artillery. Therefore you can use up your FO's orders on artillery fire and save your unit commanders for other actions.

<t>I agree with most everything in Jack's post.<br/> <br/> Also remember to use "Economy of Force" units. By this I mean: mass your really good, expensive units for the assault while you defend the rest of the map with cheaper units. AT guns, MG's and regular rifle units make great economy of force ...

<t>I think this has actually been improved quite a bit throughout the various versions of SWPWAW. Although its far from perfect, 6.1 does a much better job of avoiding obstacles than some of the earlier versions. This is especially true of the Computer player, 'he' no longer gets half of his tanks i...

<t>I did one more quick test and found that if there are mines in the hex that the engineers occupy, they will only clear mines in that hex, they will not clear both teir own hex and the one in front of them. So I guess it really doesn't matter whether you are in a hex or adjacent to it. Next I'll t...

Some rich Nokia billionaire needs to step to the line and bring this plane home.

Seriously, it would be unfortunate if the history of the plane were diluted by improper markings, but ultimately, the new owner will make that choice.

<t>I've found Halftracks to be quite useful, but a bit fragile. As noted elsewhere, AT rifles and light AT guns are quite accurate and very hard to spot. Therefore I've lost quite a few of my German Halftracks when I tried to use them for medium range infantry support early in the war. The MG accura...

I've had this happen when reinforcements have arrived and they are on the very edge of the map. You have to manually scroll over to find the units.

Otherwise, I've not seen this happen.
