RE: Serial number problem prevents game start up

I have exactly this same problem and I did a cut and paste of my serial number from the confirmation email.

RE: Installation

<t> Actually, you didn't need to reinstall. <br/> <br/> If you go into the program folder for Great Invasions you will see a link to AGEOD, a PDF Manual, etc. but there is also something called "Setup." If you click on it, it opens up the same options/settings window where you can enter your serial ...

Militia casualties

<r> I think this was already posted but I couldn't find it. I just wanted to confirm it in case it hasn't been confirmed. <br/> <br/> Fought a battle against France. After Round 2 France had 3i, 1c, 17m. They took 9 casualties in Round 3. The computer reported French losses for the round as 3i, 1c. ...

AI taking casualties

<t> Tech issue, or design choice? You be the judge. [;)]<br/> <br/> I have noticed the AI taking casualties in a strange fashion. For example, Egypt lost a battle. After the 2nd round, they broke, and they took all the casualties as cavalry. I noticed that the 1.0 morale loss had been breached. Ther...

Dardanelles crossing arrows?

As Turkey, I was surprised to discover I cannot move my Anatolian corps from Anatolia to Thrace without a fleet. Am I missing something? Or are the crossing arrows, which exist on the EiH map, missing?

Map issues

While besieging Kamenetz (on the map), the log said the besieged forces in Nemirov foraged successfully. Of course, Nemirov is the name of Podolia's capital on the original EiA map.

Ottoman Empire Issues

Playing as Turkey, I created the Ottoman Empire. When I check my OE corps, they are still listed as having 1.0 morale for infantry. No combat yet to check if this is corrected there. Will try to arrange combat to see.

Tech question about purchasing two copies

RE: Some thoughts on game

<t> Update on surface combat. I played Midway as the Japanese and due to total destruction of everyone's carrier forces, I tried to hunt down a nearby cruiser force (formerly a carrier TF) with a BB TF and BC TF. All afternoon, I repeatedly made contact only to have the Americans slip away. It paid ...

Suggestion for next update

<t> I finished playing the Midway scenario as the Japanese. It went reasonably well (okay, I lost 3 CVs and a CVL -- but I sank 3 CVs and successfully invaded Midway) but I was surprised by a couple of things. <br/> <br/> After the carrier battles ended badly for both sides, I had little left in the...

Some thoughts on game

<t> Okay, I've played a number of scenarios multiple times from both sides now (Coral Sea, Wake, Pearl Harbor) and Midway as the Americans. Overall, I want to say that I am loving playing this game. This is really what I was hoping for. I played the original on my C64 and liked it but was repeatedly...

new screens = very soon?

Recently, when Matrix posts a batch of screen shots on the front page, this means the game's arrival is imminent. This looks fun like the original SC and not so confused as SC2. I'm looking forward to this one.
