<t>You're right about the helicopter "Bitter Mike", but not the co-operative reception from the vessel. It seems the ship took evasive manoeuvres and called out a mayday as if pirates were boarding it. The Canadian officials thought they were being a bit melodramatic. It took an hour to actually ...

Canadian Navy in action

<t>This isn't SPWAW related, but I was wondering what the Forum thought about this current event.<br/>
<br/>
The Canadian Navy just took control of a freighter owned by a U.S. company (but registered in St. Vincent and the Grenadines). The owners of the vessel were arguing with their client about ...

I remember that Hube's Pocket was made into a Steel Panthers scenario. I think it was the original SP.

<t>I think Drake has a good idea. Rate scenarios as Rookie, Regular, Veteran, and Elite proficiency. Most people don't like to fiddle with the settings too much. Some feel it's cheating, some just don't bother. This way, you download scenarios that you're comfortable with, and can aspire to more ...

As I said Drake, Montgomery recommended the raid be cancelled and he was the one who originally planned the raid. This is not hindsight.

I was wondering, couldn't tanks with ploughs on them push tanks out of mud?

Maybe ploughs would be useful to clear roads, especially after a 4 tank pile-up.

Question about membership

I'm just curious, what's the difference between a member, and a junior member? I've looked in the FAQ, but it just explains the Moderator.

<t>I'd agree with Seth here and go one further.<br/>
<br/>
Normally, when historians talk about the best tank, they look at it individually, and when it works. Sure there are valid points about reliability, ease of production, etc. But IMO, the best tank is the one you'd want to be sitting in when ...

<t>Since the going rate is still 2 cents, I'll chip in too.<br/>

First of all, all armies have deficiencies. That's what lets good generals win. The British, the Soviets, and even the Americans all had problems, but not enough to be overrated. Overrated means until you know for sure, you ...

<t>Well Deutscher, I posted a similar question a few days ago about infantry in general, but no one commented on it. I find stationary MGs aren't that bad. I shoot'em up with PzK Mk1s without any trouble. But on the subject of foot soldiers in general, I think they should be easier to hit when they ...

V2.3 Warning Message Error

When I went to apply the spwaw-update-23.exe patch, the warning screen advised me to be sure that v2.1 was previously installed. I went back to the Download center to make sure that it was a v2.2 to 2.3 patch.

I don't understand how you could get angry mail. You've been putting out patches like I've never seen before. Now you're talking about putting out v2.3, when you said v2.2 was it till v3.0. And all for free. So how can anybody criticise?
