Are they maps that you could take a picture of and put on a web site? That would be really fantastic to see (and allow others to use).

<r> <QUOTE><s>
</s> An excerpt from "Citizen Soldier" by Ambrose:<br/> <br/> "White Phosphorus was horror." Lt. Robert Weiss got caught in a rare German barrage of white phosphorous shells (rare because the Germna supply was insufficient). He recalled the bursting of the shell, followed by "a ...

The bomb blast effect could be a sparkler effect followed by the standard smoke graphic and the sound effect where there were infantry would just be people screaming. Ouch, from what I've read, that was some of the most feared and controversial "substance" used in the war.

<t>The East/West Front series is good, but I could never get used to the level (multiple tanks represented by a single icon) I want the feeling of a birdseye view of the battlefield more so than the strategy map.<br/> <br/> Close Combat is the best RTS game by far. <r> <QUOTE><s>
</s>From where I stand, if you remove the SS soldier and put a Panther instead, you'll receive the very same treatment, particularly if they find out that the tank is German from the WWII era.<e>
</e></QUOTE> That's a good (if not sad) point. But I still think a Panther i...

<r>I must confess I want to advertise the hell out of SPWAW but when it comes to people I know personally, I am unwilling to mention it because of the SS guy as the logo. I don't like it, I'm embarrassed by it, and by no means is the SS guy the whole, half, or main reason I play SPWAW. The SS guy pl...

<t>First of all, nobody was any harder on the Nazi's than the Nazi's were on some of there "subjects". You want to talk about stereo-typing??? Everything was built around the tank, still is.
Out of curiosity,

When was the last time a tank fired on another tank out of hostility?

Excellent point and one I didn't consider. 1945, Germans were considered civilized and Japanese were considered evil little people.

That does indeed make things different. Thanks for pointing that out.

Or perhaps the western landings...I believe that the Germans would still have gone with Plan B and retreat to the Westwall. Probably would have not delayed the Allied Plans too much but fuel would have been a much bigger problem then.
