Re: Lesser-Known Ships of the Pacific War - RFA Belgol Class

One last bit of information on the Belgol Class, I came across a couple of accounts of the sinking of the Francol in February 1942 while trying to make passage from Java to Australia;

Re: Lesser-Known Ships of the Pacific War - RFA Belgol Class

Thats all reasonable. After beating my head against the wall with ship tonnage, I may add my own ship to the RFA Bergol class, the Dammitol ;)

Re: Lesser-Known Ships of the Pacific War - RFA Belgol Class

Poking around in the vast reaches of the forum, I found a couple threads that help explain the capacities and tonnages in the game or at least clarify it for me.
For tankers/oilers specifically;

So using JWE's approx. 85% of Dead weight tons ...

Lesser-Known Ships of the Pacific War - RFA Belgol Class

Another thread dealing with Royal Fleet Auxiliary vessels. This time the Bergol Class tankers.
There were ten tankers in this class, which could each hold about 2000 tons of fuel. Five of the ships were named after Allied countries, while the others were given names indicating power or speed, and ...

Re: Best Campaign vs Allied AI?

Assume its version 11.28. Scenario 1 is the base game, so probably not what you're looking for. Scenarios 2, 4, 5 and 6 are increasingly more difficult for the Allied player. There is also of course the difficulty setting, if you're "newish" to AE, then try Scenario 2 with Very Hard setting. If you ...

Re: Lesser-Known Ships of the Pacific War - RFA Fast Leaf Class Oilers

This might get us closer. The Z-ET1-S-C3 Liberty Tankers had a capacity of 65,000 barrels, whereas the T2 Tankers had a capacity of 135,000 barrels. In game the T2 capacity is 14,000, which would make the Liberty capacity approx. 6700. Source is

Re: Lesser-Known Ships of the Pacific War - RFA Fast Leaf Class Oilers

Looks good Cav and LST, the Leaf Class oilers have been resurrected! I'm still trying to understand how to translate real world ship specs into WitP ship numbers, so now I can add those to my mod as well. Congrats to LST and Cav on your mods, some really excellent work. The dedication of this ...

Lesser-Known Ships of the Pacific War - RFA Fast Leaf Class Oilers

Hello all, been playing the game casually for some time, but recently retired and have a bit more time on my hands. Like many players I am making a custom campaign (Allied v AI). I enjoy historical research and want to share some findings in the forum. I'd like to make this an ongoing series where ...
