The SP site you saw was probably the one that was making amod of SP for WW1 - I don't think anything ever came of it. Some friend and myself have made a WW1 mod for Close Combat 3 - the site address is in my profile.

Unfortunately the whole thread about WW1 games seems to have been lost. Nice to hear you will be getting around to doing most periods at some time.

<t>WW1 - now you are talking. Its not the boring sterile fight most imagine not on a small tactical level anyway. I think combat leader would be a better engine for a WW1 based game (if only because i'm not a fan of turn based.<br/>
Anyway anyone interested in WW1 should have alook at the CC mod ...
