What are breastworks?

I am designing a couple of battles in the Papuan Campaign (Aussies and Americans vs. Japanese) and they talk about breastworks being built by the japanese. What are they aand can they be modeled in the scenario editor?

What are breastworks?

I am starting work on a few battles from the Papuan campaign. In the reference I am using they talk about Japanese breastworks. What specifically are these and can they be built into the terrain using the editor?

Thanks in advance.
