They announced somewhere in the Steel Panthers WaW forum that SP Modern was not going to be made.

They are working on 2 completely new games that will be designed to allow modern weapons to be easily added, and those will be the replacements for SP Modern..

Didn't Patton want to re-equip the Germans to help fight the Russians? Maybe he knew the U.S. didn't have enough manpower to face the Russians alone..
