<t>From what I've read the Tiger was on the design board long before the mistake of invading Russa was made. Yes it was up gunned after a few run ins with the Russians but then that only made sense.<br/>
The Panther on the other hand was a direct knee kerk reaction to the T34. IE: this bit of ...

<r>Anybody remember Pong.......now there's a game!! Remember how the paddle would get smaller and smaller and the ball would move faster and faster...boy I hated that. LOL<br/>
Now if Matrix does a new build of Pong that would be great. With their desire to let everybody tweak everything I could ...

<t>I agree that most the remains of any tank crew that has to bail out should move to the rear, with certain qualifiers.<br/>
<br/>
(1) The type of shot that killed the vehicle should have a direct bearing on how many men get out alive. IE: the shot that took out Whittman's Tiger blew the turret off ...

<r>I think it interesting that the way SP handles Elites is very generic. If you keep them alive long enough they become elites. I'm playing a long WWII campaign and All my Armour and Infantry have reached Elite status and I'm not even through 1942. When high command releases the tiger to us this ...

Hey Sven, My younger brother is an authority on what the pen of bb fired from a Red Ryder is ;). Hate to be the bearer of bad news but anything thicker that a pair of bluejeans or a beer can will stop it cold in it's tracks. Still leaves a heck of a welt though. :D

<r>Well Phil I can remember walking uphill in the snow both ways. <E>:D</E> The only problem we have here is simply that of frustration. <t>Hey Sven , Ammo,<br/>
Sorry for not getting right back....been out of town.<br/>
I only brought up the Land Crusier because I thought it was outragous. Something that big would have been a nightmare to even get out of the design stage and no amount of camo would have saved it from air attack ...

No problem, balance is good. Of course having to work with a perceived weakness can make your opponent a little over confident. :) Of course having your Tiger turn into a smoking hulk because a 37 mm got in a lucky shot isn't much fun either.

<t>The 37 mm Anti-tank Gun, M3<br/>
In 1935 the U.S. Army began the development of an anti-tank gun, a newly conceived field artillery piece whose mission was to defeat the recently developed tanks of that era. Foreign anti-tank guns were studied including the 25 mm French Hotchkiss and the 37 mm ...

Well all I know is that Pi is not squared it's round, corn bread is squared.
Seriously thanks for all the tech guys. bottom line though is get that 37 to the backside of the tank and you got a chance.

I think the matrix team has modeled that and other affects much better in ths version. Makes more sense that the infantry just dismounting. ;) I always thought that sitting on a tank with 20mm round riccocheting all over the place would be hair-raising to say the least.

<r>What I like doing is opening up on advancing Russian armour with a flak unit. Normally good for 4 or 5 casulties from the infantry riding onboard. The German 20mm units are especially good at this. Hit the tanks before they get to your forward dug in engineers. They go in blind and the engineers ...
