I am currently playing Scenario 17 (Decision in the Pacific) and the game is currently crashing on me every turn now. I'm playing as the US against Japanese computer.<br/>

It might be a bug

<t>Dare, I say, it might be a bug.. I have never seen it work with only MSWs on a mine warfare mission.<br/>
<br/>
But, one way I have positively been able to seep mines is to create a transport TF with 1 AP, load it with a small unit and attach 7-8 MSWs to it. Set the Transport group target to be ...

Try sending them with AOs

Have you tried attaching some AOs with Fuel loaded? They go slow since they have to refuel often but they do make it.

Good luck.

v1.2 or whatever the next release is supposed to be

Has anyone heard when the next patch/fix will be released? It's been kinda of quiet since v1.11.

Skunkworks features or redesigns maybe (crossing my fingers still)??

<t>Joel,<br/>
<br/>
Just to answer your previous post... yes, it does exactly.<br/>
My point was just to remind everyone that this is a business (albeit a labor of love) and that given the choice, I'm sure that Matrix Games would rather devote resources to WiTP or future projects than to maintain ...

Setting expectations

<t>Joel,<br/>
<br/>
Thanks very much for the post. It gives us 'outsiders' a view of the development of the product and more importantly, its own design limitations.<br/>
<br/>
Myself personally, it helps to reset expectations for future patches for the released version. The future is bleak for UV ...

Great theory, I will test to see if this is the reason.<br/>

One thing though:<br/>
I can get all the entire bomber force to attack Rabaul consistently (as you know, it has a sizable CAP contingent). So, logically, shouldn't attacking a weaker CV CAP force make more ...

Priority targeting still a mystery

<t>Has anyone found a response from the Matrix team regarding targeting? I've already read the manual concerning targeting logic and sometimes, it just doesn't pan out in the game. If there is a randomness factor built into the game, it'd be nice to let us know (i.e. what's the algorithm so we know ...

I see it.. thanks very much

Thanks for your reply.

I typically disband units with low ratings into a better unit so the pilots and aircraft can share in their experience.

How to find maximum ready aircraft?

<t>Can anyone PLEASE tell me how to find out what the maximum amount of planes per squadron is allowed? I have several aircraft in reserve after disbanding (consolidating) other squadrons.<br/>

To avoid this, I'd like to find out where it states what the maximum / squadron size.<br/>

Air HQs and reserve aircraft

<t>The manual doesn't really explain this well so if anyone has any ideas, I'd be very appreciative..<br/>
<br/>
1) Where are the Air HQs? It mentions that you receive a bonus at an airbase for the presence of Air HQs but I can't seem to find any. Are these the same as the SOPAC and Northern Command ...

<t>Okay, so a Bombardment TF with 4 CAs (avg speed = 35) with Retirement Allowed orders.<br/>
<br/>
Ordered to head to Rabaul from Dobadura moves 3 (??) hexes and gets pummelled by LBA.<br/>

<t>I'm not sure if anyone else noticed this but..<br/>

Agreed. LBA aircraft ignore those ships

<t>I'm experiencing the same agonizingly frustrating experience. The Japanese are sending BBs, CAs and DDs from Rabaul to Port Moresby without a single LBA strike against them.<br/>

Troop loading - all troops available for loading?

<t>Hello,<br/>
<br/>
I've noticed that I'm unable to load some troops from Brisbane. For instance, there was a stack of infantry at Brisbane under Northern Command that I wanted to move to Port Moresby. I had a TF of about 7 APs and 6 AKs. When I went to the load screen, the only thing listed was ...

Unraveling the UV mysteries

<t>Several questions came up during my last campaign.. I hope someone has played through this enough and has some comments/answers:<br/>

1) If a air combat task force loses its carrier, should it then become a surface combat task force?<br/>

2) If you set 'React to Enemy', does a surface ...

Thanks for the quick response.

I meant to say WAW 5.0.1 from the downloads page. Both the EDome link and the Matrix link report the size at 381.79MB which is 390,952.

That's way off from your 400MB you mentioned. Is it available anywhere else other than here and EDome?
