<r>I found them easier to deal with by engaging them at very very close range, the russian tanks don't seem to be anymore accurate at close range than far away but your own tanks operate far better close up. The best chance I find of a kill is 2 hexes away to the side at exactly 90 degrees to the ...

I always play with unit id flags on so you have a small flag next to each unit so you can't miss any. It would be difficult for me also to see units sometimes without this.

Have you tried using this?

<r>Don't know why people are b*tching about shipping costs. One of the Matrix dealers "Duchet" sells it for about £25. What's the problem??????????? Hell I would pay more than that for some chart game that I can finish and get bored with in a couple of weeks.<br/>

<r>Just wanted to add that I think people who point fingers at Wargame fans are the people with a problem not us. Most of the type of wargames we talk about on this board involve leading units of men where you don't actually see any death/killing etc. Basically we play the role of commanders and ...

<t>hmmm, hope it doesn't sound too flippant but I've never had any negative thoughts about playing wargames. To me its just a game recreating hisory. My dad taught me to play Chess when I was 4 and then after a couple of years I moved to wargames and any other strategy game I could lay my hand on ...

<t>The Recon at Rad battle wasn't that bad, I played it without realising it had a problem and managed to deal with the tanks. You just have to be prepared to get in close with your tanks and get side/rear shots from one or two hexes. I also got two DVs and then two MVs but since those two battles I ...

<t>Watched that programme a couple of times here in the UK and its quite entertaining but I'd love to see the same format but with different nations competing. How about US (Special Forces Seals etc), UK (SAS, Royal Marines), Russian (Spetznaz) and French (Legionnaires) (just for example). THAT ...

<r>I myself also just started the MCLV for the first time a few days ago (I didn't start earlier because I was waiting for 7.1 and the MCLV patches). This is the first MC I'veplayed and it's brilliant, utterly impressed and kudos to the designers who did such a good job. If anyone still has doubts ...

Would there be any public interest in playing a campaign were you know that you're going to be knee deep in sh*t and you have almost no chance of acheiving victories BUT playing for draws to "slow" the german advance would be the main aim?<br/>

<t>The units used by the Belgian Chassuers Ardennais will ultimately be up to the player of the campaign as you'll be able to pick your core forces. If you want to experience hell on earth then go for a historical setup with no AT capability or buy yourself a couple of 47mm AT guns (they are in the ...

Chasseurs Ardennais

<r>Is the topic of the next mini-campaign... taking control of a Belgian Chasseurs Ardennais unit as they encounter the initial German thrust through the Ardennes in 1940. I wasn't even considering this subject but I found an article and website about the unit and it seems interesting, I've only ...

Polish defence in 39 doesn't sound too bad, quite interesting. Crete idea also good but there are so many campaigns as the Germans that I'll give that one a miss.... maybe in the the future.<br/>

<r>Hello everybody, its been a while since I've posted. I've just finished updating the Balkan Crisis campaign to make sure all is working ok with 7.1. Apart from that I also made a few minor alterations to the battles (don't expect many differences although I think it should be slightly harder now ...

Good Luck with your campaign. I like the sound of it, sounds similar to the Balkan camapign I did with a small amount of forces and few rebuild points.<br/>

<t>I like naming units, gives a more authentic feel. <t>I'm quite happy with Rifle Infantry, at close range they will lose against SMG squads but at longer range they can fire on the SMG squads and keep them out of range.
