RE: Ironclad lovers, look at this

<t> Wow, who would have thought Battleship Chess would get a nod from the likes of Les_the_Sarge_9_1?<br/>
<br/>
I wrote Battleship Chess as a kind of Solitaire for wargamers. Nothing too deep, just alot of replay value when you have a few minutes to waste. I'm really hoping that it will appeal to ...

The artifact has to be aboard the starship you want to upsize. Take that starship *over* one of your worlds and use it then. Just go to the starship's artifacts menu and select the button. Note that you can shift-click each artifact entry to find out how to use it.

<r>Sounds odd. Go into the Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs list and see if there are multiple Starships Unlimited Divided Galaxies entries. If so, remove them all and start again. When you install a patch, ensure that it's writing to the correct folder. It *doesn't* by default ...

<r>I have a tendancy to add more features to each patch rather than just fixing bugs. This is were any instabilities show up. Most games that crash, and they aren't that common, can be restarted by using the Autosave game file. If you're buying in England then you should have the latest version and ...

<t>I'm still commited to SUDG. In fact, I'm trying to track down why fighters sometimes lose their squad. This is a source of crashes. In the process I've fixed a few problems, such as ships sometimes leaving behind their fighters. I'm sure there will be lots of other changes by the time the patch ...

<t>Well, Mcousins has proven to be a lightning rod for discovering crashes. The most likely one deals with some new code I<br/>

Okay, thanks to Mcousins saved game, I've been able to locate the source of the crash and fix it. I've gone through all the v2.1 code changes and verified that I didn't make the same mistakes anywhere else (I didn't). I'll ask Matrix Games to post a quick patch on this. Sorry about that.

<t>I'm curious as to why you'd want to do that as well. This is the first time that anyone has ever asked for it. In the original version of Starships Unlimited, I allowed you to manually choose navigational orders. But with the missions logic handling navigation so nicely, I found it a pointless ...

<t>Hi Frenchie, I think that you're misunderstanding the purpose of things like SafeDisc. It's not to stop the hardcore pirating community. It's to stop people from casually making copies for others. <br/>

Why do games companies insist on using things like SafeDisc? Simple mathematics. They ...

<t>I've tried this and wasn't able to reproduce the problem. Have you tried switching between "Use hardware/software for music playback"? I think you'll have to change the setting, save it, then restart the app to test it out.<br/>

Hmm, with such a powerful system, there shouldn't be any problems. I've never tested it on DirectX 9, though. I've got some tests that we can try. Email me at support@apezone.com, if you'd like to try them.
