Is there a way to turn off AI Germany declaring war on Belgium?

I would quite enjoy playing an AI Central powers doing a Russia first strategy so a “don’t attack Belgium until after the fall of Russia” options would be nice for AI behavior

RE: Why is King Gustav V of Sweden the ultimate military genius?

Makes as much sense as anything else I could think of.

Now I’m going to have to send the Swedish army to the Ukraine. I was planning to use it to for Sankt Petersburg but I now need to retake the battlefield.

Why is King Gustav V of Sweden the ultimate military genius?

<r> No complaints really, it is fun being able to build a 10 rating Swedish HQ even better than the 8 rating von Hinderburg.<br/>
<br/>
Is there any historical reason to assume the Swedish general staff would have put Napoleon and Hannibal to shame? <br/>

RE: No combat phase if no field combat?

Me love you long time!!!!

Thanks, it was making me crazy not being able to siege cities. This is a great game albeit with a tricky interface. Do I get some sort of notification when moving a corps on top of an enemy held city?

No combat phase if no field combat?

<t> No combat phase if no field combat?<br/>

How the heck am I suppose to assault cities and fortresses then? Mind you it works fine if there is a field combat somewhere – I can then manually order the siege rolls then and assault when I get a breach I assault.<br/>

RE: How do I purchase corps/fleets for a major power in the economic phase?

RE: The Italian problem.

<t> It kind of makes sense that the Rumanian are terribly deployed allowing the Central Powers to overrun them with ease because that is what happened historically. It makes no sense that the same is true for Italy. Mind you I would prefer an option to have them deploy before they enter the war ...

RE: The Italian problem.

<t> Actually it sort of make sense for Rumania as they were historically deployed in pretty much the worst thinkable way and proceeded to launch a plan 17-style suicidal attack stripping their frontier against Bulgaria bare allowing the almost uncontested capture of their capital.<br/>

Shouldn’t Italy get to move first when she enters the war? Currently the Central Powers gets to react first on the Italian front meaning they get to walk unopposed into Milan after smashing the Northernmost Italian army.<br/>

RE: Proposed house rules for the Belgium challenge

<r> Hi. You were right about it being a mistake to disband the French navy but even if I hadn’t there still would be no way to defend the Atlantic coast short of buying additional French battleships. Petrograd bombardment

<t> <br/>
Amaranthus has just conquered Russia by bombarding Petrograd with a battleship reducing the only industrial city Russia has to 0 PP by 1914. That seems to me to pretty much win the war all by itself. We are playing the Belgian neutral scenario but it should work just as well in a normal ...

<t> It is effectively over. The Bombardment of Petrograd Russia to 0 productions despite me being very cost conscious. I’ll have Moscow by the end of February 1915. I have to say Petrograd needs a port; I shall certainly make bombarding Petrograd a cornerstone of any future strategy.<br/>
