Same here

I'm running a P4 1.6 512 ram winXP home and mine is running at 100% the entire time I'm in the game. Hear the old fan really cranking up to cool the chip. This can't be a good thing and I think I'll back off the game until this is addressed.

Clear Type

Go to Display Properties - Appearance - Effects - uncheck "clear type." Mine was scrunched but working great now
