I do not have the source info at hand, but import tax is ca. 4% on CDs (there is no import tax on diskettes, but I do not think that we will see a matrix game on diskette any more...).

<t>The calculation of EUST (import value added tax) is not only based on the cost of the goods, but also on the freight costs. So you have to add them to the price of the game and you get the amount which is liable to EUST. The customs fee should be roughly 1/4 of it, so perhaps UPS just made a ...

<t>The legal situation is clear: If you import something from out of the EU into the EU, you have to pay (import) value added tax. If a company from the US puts "gift" onto the tax declaration, that is illegal (even for the US company, as contracts between almost all western coutries exist ...

<t>Well, you can not really AVOID this cost by buying from European Dealers, as they have to add Value Added Tax (VAT) to their prices as well. It is just a matter of comparing the US prices with the European prices, and you just have to take into account that the European prices already contain the ...

<t>Moin,<br/>

Was das nächste ...

<t>Moin,<br/>

<t>Well, judging from my 14 years in the wargame business in Germany I can only say that the Pacific Theatre of WW2 is VERY popular among the real German wargamers. Gary Grigsbys "Pac War" hardly sold less copies than "War in Russia/Second Front". "Carrier Strike" also went well. So did the QQP game ...
