Funny stuff :)

<r>I tend to agree with a lot of your logic and your ideas were pretty funny reading. I have been a gamer for many decades. Had many decades with board games and micro armor miniatures on sand tables before the personal computer came about. <br/>

Ivantheterrible There is a way.......

<r>Although I dont recommend you do this it will accomplish what you are trying to do. If you deactivate all of the weapons of your scouts or recon units you dont want to fire during opp fire, then they wont fire, period. But.... They wont fire until you reactivate a weapon either. <br/>

A request for some help finding a particular map series

<r>John,<br/>
These are great maps! I found most of them a year back but you found a few new ones to me. I have been looking for a specific series of maps in the Overlord campaign. There are many very detailed maps of the American beaches and Airborne drop zones and the inland areas where the ...

An old Grunts 2 cents worth

<r>Auslander,<br/>
The scenarios posted above are great! But I think if I were to give you a few pointers about fireing and moving a bit and some resources management and some things to think about when you are working a scenario may help you to really learn some key things from these classic ...

Thanks, and a few more questions then.

<r>Hey Goblin, that is what I figured was the norm. I assumed you would just copy the modified OOB over your existing in the game folder. <br/>
I was wondering just how exacting the OOB's in both players folders have to be? I mean if there is any difference at all does the program end the session or ...

I would like to hear more

<r>This is very interesting to me. I like to edit my OOB and not to create unrealistic or fantastic "Killer Elite" units or bizarre equipment. I am speaking of creating some infantry units which are not represented in the existing OOB or creating some variations on existing units for custom ...

A little clarification for you

<r>There are only two ways to load units. One way is to select the unit and push "L" or the load button on you control panel. The other way is to push the "Load all units to nearest transport" button. Unfortunately, IIRC, the only feature available in game during a battle is the "L" or load button ...

Seeing strange results with "Rally" attempts,

<r>I thought I understood just how the rally thing works but it seems that I must have it misunderstood. I have yet to see any attempt at a rally actually succeed. I have even manipulated the rally numbers for leaders and still no change. I took a small scenario and changed all the leaders rally ...

<r>Thanks all for the great ideas. <E>:D</E> I am not going to get the mega campaigns until later. Money is a problem right now so I am mega tightwad if you know what I mean. I friend just downloaded from the Armor site three files to get to V6.1 and burned them to a CD for me. IIRC, they were V5.01 ...

Required Hard drive Space question

Can any of you give me an exacting answere to how much hard drive space V6.1 requires when extracted and installed? Please state if your response is exacting or a guess.

Thanks,

1GB Hard Drive req????

gmenfan, are you correct? 1 GB HD space required? I dont have near that on any of my drives. Could you please let me know if this figure is exact? If it is can you tell me what version I can run with only about 600 to 700MB disk space?

Thanks,

Yes, here is a possible explanation

<r>Perhaps a rat in the wine cellar you FDC is setup in ate through the field telephone wire after the command to commense fireing had been given and before the countermanding order to cease the fire mission had been given. Your batteries never got the word. Those Belgians were set up with WWI ...

Another point?

<r>I tend to agree with Rune, and.... They have to score a hit at that range also. Lets see, 40 hexes is about 2000 yards right? That is a long ways to score a hit unless you have perfect conditions. I dont recall the targeting systems on either of the vehicls you brought up as being spectacular ...

An old Grunts 2 cents worth

<r>I kind of liked 11Bravos rundown but I think that the Airborne infantry over the standard grunts is a good hedge. Especially if you cant edit the weapons they have when you select your forces. IMHO, it is imperitive you bring two things in that 11Bravo seemed to leave out, Bazooka crews for quick ...

IIRC..... but I too could be mistaken.

<r>The Panzerfaust was standard issue for all german panzer formations and most army formations starting in mid to late 1943. I do recall something about early models being used in 1942 to a limited extent. I am not saying the particular version modeled in SPWAW is that version, noted in the weapons ...

1) Can I install V6.1 over V1.0 directly or should I uninstall V1.0 then install V6.1 in the previously made folder for SPWAW?<br ...
