I had the same problem but simply created a batch file to start WitP-AE. Worked like a champ.

Download the file to the directory with the .exe, change the file extension from .txt to .bat, and run it.

Use notepad to modify the extensions.

I am getting ready to jump back in after being gone for 5 years. My early retirement was supposed to enable more WitP but it resulted in less. Just starting to look into what has changed myself.

I will have to engage with my partner Mike Curtis to give a little more insight into how it has been going, as he is handling most of the effort. I am just the Brits/Aussies/SWPAC.

Extended map does not work for stock, only scenarios modded for it. The DBB and RA are some that incorporate the extended map. Stacking limits works with stock. My last game was a stacking limits stacking limit stock.
