Thanks very much, mate! It was the EMS that was the problem. For anyone else with this trouble, set to run in Win98 compatability, set EMS (under memory) to "none". Oh, right click on the icon for the .exe file to do all of this!

Running AMD 900, crap 32MB NVIDIA card (not GF2!), 256MB RAM. I am fairly technical with these gadgets, and have tried to run the game in al emulation modes and in a DOS (such as it is nowadays!) window. Still no joy! Anybody running PacWar under XP?

Anyone got this running under XP?

I don't half fancy a quick pacific war, but I am damned if I can get the thing to work under windows XP! v2.2 ran fine under win98, but 2.3 locks up after the credits page. Any ideas greatly appreciated!

Yup, I'm in! Just played the Balkans 1945 campaign and enjoyed it hugely, nice to see other minor theatres worked on. More than 3 scenarios would be rather nice, though!

<t>Erm, sorry to pick holes, but it's 3 words; Royal Green Jackets, see? In WWII they were known as the King's Royal Rifle Corps, the Rifle Brigade, and the 41st and 52nd (Oxford and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry. It would be difficult to give these regiments an equipment schedule or move bonus, as ...

<t>Having just got XP(running 98 before), I made the painful decision that it was time for a re-format and a fresh start. Did this a week before getting v7, and until upgrading had no problems. With v7, I cannot save from the end of battle screens. As this is only my 2nd post, I don't want to give ...

<t>Got the same problem, started with v7. Save during battles only is the safe way around it, but I like to see the type of engagement before I fight it! The reason for this is that I don't like meeting engagements; the AI is woefully lacking in the techniques of retreat and counter attack that are ...
