Re: Allied Player Wanted...

Still looking for an allied opponent? 1 turn or more per day is no problem for me. I checked my version of the game, I'm running stock install version 1.8.11.28.4 mar 2023. Not sure if that is the 1.28b you mentioned if not let me know and I'll endeavor to get the right version. Send me a private ...

Re: TRP - Total Realism Project for War in Europe (1.14 Download)

Figured it out. Looks like I was running version 1.29 of the Europe game. Had been using the game menu that shows you a choice of both games to choose from to start, and apparently its auto update only ever updated the World at War version of the game. Had to delete the game install and re-installed ...

Re: TRP - Total Realism Project for War in Europe (1.14 Download)

Downloaded the new 1.14 build and it plays fine except for decision events, I get no text on the first screen. Notes text displays fine but the core decision screen is blank. Downloaded and tried a second time and still get no text. Possible missing file?

I should mention I tried both sides and ...

Re: Font and icon scaling

I created the ingame magnifier for cases such as yours specifically.

On behalf of those of us with optical issues I thank you sir. It can be very aggravating to see your pursuit of a life long hobby slowly dwindle away because old age renders things you used to take for granted non-functional ...

Thanks, but my problem is definitely visual, so magnification or increased font size would be the only real remedy for me.

Re: TRP - World at War Released v0.8.20c

Playing as allies, I diplomatically pushed Switzerland into positive territory and it triggered the event where you spend tons of MPP's to swing it 40 points away from the axis. Then I assume Germany got a bunch of events that fired because it eventually declared war and conquered Switzerland to ...

Re: Casualties

Historically Omaha beach suffered about 2400 casualties on D-Day (killed, wounded and missing). Given that an average US infantry division had a paper strength of about 12,000 - 14,000 men, you'd expect overall casualties to be roughly 10% for each division (especially since far more than just two ...

First board game played was sometime in the mid 1970''s when I was a young teenager. Think it was either Tactics II or Blitzkrieg, can no longer remember for sure. First board game I owned was a game about Gettysburg made by Avalon Hill, the one with the large rectangular counters.

First PC ...

BUT it might not be optimal in terms of everything fitting on the screen.

Any chance you could make it so the screen was scrollable with the mouse wheel so extra large fonts too big to display on a single screen simply run off the bottom into a scrollable screen? Probably too late for those ...

Font and icon scaling

Really looking forward to this game, but am a bit worried as it uses a similar display to WitP. I hardly ever play that game any longer due to tiny fonts and icons that my old eyes have real trouble with. Any chance fonts and icons are scalable in this engine?

1-hour turns would be amazing for the carriers battles or amphibious assaults in a WW2 Pacific game!!

Yeah but virtually unplayable for the entire war. A perfect world would be 1 day turns that auto slowed down to one hour turns any time a naval engagement was triggered in the search phases so ...

Lag issues

Coming back to the game after a long break and have run into a real issue with lag I've never seen before. I've tried setting up shortcuts for both the normal .exe and the noLLA.exe, but both versions have major interface lag when clicking to add/remove ships to or from a fleet in addition to ...

Between crown of glory and empire in arms, which has better play, graphics, and which if any have players?

Crown of Glory had one fatal flaw in it, not sure if it still exists but more than likely it does. Once your army got large enough, not all your units would arrive to fight the battle. So ...

Check out RBM Studio's Gettysburg on steam. Very small map and large unit scale of the battle. Haven't bought it myself but saw a review and the author had 20+ hours in and was singing the games praises.

If you set the game to max difficulty and lower the XP bonus to 1 XP (1.5 if really want it hard but 2 is very hard) then France will fall as the AI will rip through everything.

Don't want to harp on anything, but thought I'd post about my new game with the max difficulty set except for only +1 ...
