RE: Patch 3.4 Question

Thanks Ralph and thanks again for all the work on the patch. Yeah, I hear you - wife upgraded our system (LOL) and now my war gaming has taken a hit. Anyway, good for everyone to know that TOAW works great on apple boot camp (unlike some other games).

Best

Patch 3.4 Question

<t> Seems to be a lot more details out on the expected patch - sounds great and I cant wait to get it - tks Matrix. One quick question I have is if there is going to be an option to turn off mouse zoom. I play TOAW on an imac and have one of the new ultra sensitive mouses which is causing me great ...

Disabling Mouse Zoom

<t> I've recently switched cpu's and I am now running TOAW in mac bootcamp on a 27" imac (by the way, game looks and plays great on the imac). Only problem I'm having is with my touch sensitive mouse which makes it very easy to inadvertently zoom in and out while playing. Is there any way to disable ...

I think it would be a lot easier to use the UV engine on a MED game than adapting it to modern warfare. My vote falls strongly on the MED camp.

SC vs IJN Sub

<t>Ok, as far as I can tell SC's only purpose in the game are as target practice for IJN Subs. I had a convoy of 3 SC's (granted experience level was only 55) hunting 1 IJN sub (same hex). Three days go by and no more SC's - sub sank one SC per day without the SC's even getting off one shot at the ...

I heard the next patch will mostly focus on bug fixes with no revolutionary changes to the interface expected until subsequent patches.

It would be nice to summarize the individual pilot's air-to-air kills in a table format rather than displaying each one individualy. Would save a hell of a lot of time in major air combat engagements.

<t>I don't know when PC Gamer will get to a review. However, I do believe we can help the process. About three weeks ago I unanimously sent an e-mail to Gamespot describing UV/Matrix and what I thought of it. I am sure that countless other fans probably did the same thing in order to get Gamespot to ...

<r>Hartmann, your not alone, I agree with you <E>;)</E>. It would be nice to have more details on pilots and aircraft (where, when and how lost) including more detail on operational losses. Currently, only top pilots are shown on the summary screen (I think). I don't think it would be to difficult ...

Great suggestions Scouters! I think all these points would nicely enhance the gameplay. In general, given the 24hr+ turns, I think it would be real nice to get more info pop-ups in the forthcoming patch.

Additional Ideas for Patch

<r>Some very good suggestions have been made in previous post of things to include in the future patch and I just wanted to list a couple of additional items:<br/>
<br/>
1) a toggle allowing for messages indicating when a TF reaches it's DH<br/>
<br/>
2) the ability to review the combat messages ...

<r>I think everyone is entitled to their own opinion, however, I would not say that Matrix has erred with UV. Ever since early development, this game has always been represented as operational in nature with 30mile hexes and with min turn cycles of 24hrs. Plenty of individuals are enjoying the game ...
