Flamethrowers and minefields?

Where can I find the rules on minefields and flamethrowers?
(cross-posting here as I haven't got any answer from either the game's Steam discussion forum or discord)

Good point indeed, but I think that the game should have a clear focus. Either the game simulates high level decision-making, and does NOT allow the player to get involved in low-level decision-making (except ...

RE: Does the game avoid the micro-management trap this time?

the staff at your Sr. HQ who now commands all the independant Companies becomes overloaded

How is this translated in game terms? It seemed to me that there was no penalty related to micromanagement.

Does the game avoid the micro-management trap this time?

<r> <QUOTE><s>[quote]</s>It is your choice whether to manage every detail of your army, or have the friendly AI manage the war on a lower level while you plan the larger scale maneuvers designed to make short work of your enemy. Just as a historical commander, you can choose where you need to step ...

Ah, I see now: the button doesn't appear in the tutorials, but it does in the scenarios, so everything's OK. Thanks!

Setting cruise speed

There's a screenshot in the doc (p.24) with a "cruise speed" button next to the speed slider, but I don't find it in the game?!

RE: Tutorial

<t> I must say I agree. I am also quite disappointed by the manual. Even after reading it twice, I started my 1st game the other day (Saipan) and was pretty much lost (and I'm far from being a wargames newbie either).<br/>
For instance, it's nowhere mentioned how direct fire works. This is quite ...

Ah! Excellent news! [:)] Sorry about my post, then. I should have checked there first.

I think that type of discount is good practice and builds lots of goodwill.

RE: Matrix Games and Strategic Studies Group Announce Battlefront

The screenshots are almost identical to the Decisive Battles series (Battles in Italy, etc.). Is this an original / new system or a refinement of this series?

Any demo planned? As an owner of Combat Mission, I won't buy this one before checking how it compares, to be honest.

Question about manpower/resource pools

<t> According to the manual, you can end your turn with manpower and resouce reserves equal to your manpower / resource production.<br/>
Does this mean I could possibly start a turn with my regions already stacked full with MP and R and then getting their MP and R production, meaning I could spend ...

Naval Bombardment bug?

<t> The manual states that naval units only participate in combat vs land units if a friendly land unit participates in the combat (which seems fair indeed).<br/>
However, I noticed that I can launch a general attack purely made up of aircraft at a coastal region and the naval units CAN participate ...

Quick question: when attacking a frozen area, do you get the surprise bonus only in the 1st area attacked, or in all attacks in all frozen areas during the turn where you "break neutrality"?

Opponents wanted != Games in progress

<t> I've noticed some confusion in this section. Some people are looking for opponents, but some games are already closed an running, but their thread is regularly updated to include latest events.<br/>
This is confusing, because one thinks there's a new game being organized, but then notices it ...
