Best ASW Device: Mines, combined with dumb Subs

I think a change needs to be made in Sub activity.

Subs will "follow" a TF into an enemy port, attempting to attack it. You cannot set your subs to do otherwise.

This becomes a problem if the defending player is smart enough to use mines; mined ports are deadly for subs. Sub follows the TF into a ...

Also, focus on hauling fuel from Kiel and Canarias (incl. Spanish Guinea)....there should be enough in those sources if you move it all

Re: Fuel versus naval fuel

I just noticed in the full campaign game - playing as Nationalist, in 1937 all the fuel supply depots changed to naval fuel - even far inland. anyone else notice and is it a problem? thanks

It's not a problem; it's all fuel. You toggled the display value by accident. Just toggle it back. No ...

Re: Game Crash

Alessandro, my apologies, I missed that note....attached is my turn before Crash

I'm currently not able to run the turn as I only have your turn 130 save.
I assume you run this turn and then give orders.
Qball, can you send me the turn you sent ? Should be turn 130.

As a test for workaround, run ...

Re: Airgroup unable to take Replacements

Depends on game rule for taking replacements. Cannot tell for certain from a screenshot, but the info would be consistent with rules of "pool" or "device shipping" and the next german pool access being too far.
If this is the case, click the button for to draw and create a ferry unit without auto ...

Re: A Las Barricadas! A Republican PBEM AAR Q-Ball (R) vs. Przemek (N)

Hrafnagud put together a good summary; one issue that is nearly impossible to model unfortunately is Republican disfunction. The Republican Government was not unified at all, with many different viewpoints. Many ships and units had very strong committees of sailors and soldiers who had alot of input ...

Re: Movement questions

Is entering enemy hex with enemy unit there in movement operation mode not risky?
dont they get slaughtered?

Or maybe if unit moves in movement mode but with defensive posture it wont start fighting but just get a foothold in new hex to start fight another day?

Re: Movement questions

I am trying to understand some aspects of moving Land Combat Units (LCUs) around.

If I am moving my unit from one hex neighbouring an enemy unit to another hex neighbouring an enemy unit, is my unit somehow influenced by their zone of control? Or does it depend on the border of the hex they ...

Re: Republic Production Notes

Broadly speaking:

CNT (anarchists): the largest of the Republican militia, 50,000. High morale but very low military effectiveness.
UGT (socialist trade-unionist): 30,000
MAOC/PCE (Stalinist communist): 10,000 (initially MAOC, then growing into PCE) - probably the most militarily effective, the ...

Re: Cutting away supply from enemy units

I just dont get how is this republican unit ( arrow pointed) still supplied?

Is it because they are in the city? Should i then whidrw from the hex and bomb them with my brave italian air force?

In this case, yes, the units are drawing supply from the ...

Re: Cutting away supply from enemy units

how do you project control on those hexes to SE of Nationalist unit?

You wrote that he can move there. But will that move be longer then moving to NE because over there is no projection of your power?

Re: Supply and surrounding

I seriously don’t get it.

I had a 10,000-strong Republican force surrounded in the mountains. They were 3–4 hexes away from any other Republican force. They were not in a town. To make sure they were cut off, I put a strong force in every single hex surrounding them.

For 10 days, their supply ...

Re: Cutting away supply from enemy units

Hey.
I managed to surround couple of enemy units. I wonder how cutting away supply works in the game.
Should i keep a full circle of units around enemy? Does supply flow throug contested hexes? or is the any kind of control over hexes that are neigbouring my units?

I am not familiar with the copyrighting, etc, but if this could be merged with WITP-AE, to basically update that game with better graphics and performance (and a better map, which WiS has), that would be amazing, and I think would sell
