RE: Timed play feature

Timed play is for multiplayer games and it is optional - you don't have to use it if you don't want to.

If you enjoyed the older versions, then you will enjoy this one as is. You can always try the enhanced variants later on.

JTCS and Port Forwarding

<t> I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before, but if it hasn't, I found the following settings allow me to port forward JTCS through my router firewall, allowing multiplayer internet games:<br/>

<br/>
Protocol / Port (or range) / Host Port<br/>

TCP / 2300-2400 / 2300<br/>

<t> I downloaded the WPP demo and played it for awhile yesterday. It took me a bit to figure out what was going on, but once I did&nbsp;I found the game to be&nbsp;quite fun. It is very colourful and definitely plays fast. If you are a micromanager or a detail hound you won't like it. The makers are ...

RE: Regarding hex/turn based games

<t> I've played so many wargames over the last forty years I can't count them. I think out of them all, the Panther presentation has been the best. I will definitely be getting BftB. If it is decided to go with a 3D presentation sometime in the future, that would be icing on the cake, but I'd get ...

RE: CTD while loading saved game

<t> I'm sorry, but I deleted it and started over. However, I did some experimenting, and found that as long as I keep the save file name a certain length, no more CTD's occur. The initial save had only three alphanumerics, whereas subsequent ones are five alphanumerics or longer - no more CTD's ...

Graphics

They look pretty good, but they also tend to hide the contour colours. I think I'd rather be able to see the contours more easily.

<t>I like everything in the screenshot except the city representation- it looks a bit like tiles on a bathroom wall. I'm a little ashamed to say it because in a game like this, looks should tend to be a secondary consideration, but that's the first thing I thought of when I saw it. I noticed the ...

<t>I have played computer games since 1981, and I played boardgames for years before that. I own over one hundred computer games right now, and UV would be rated close to the top, if not The Top, if I had to rate them all. The patches and upgrades are a fact of life in a game as complex as this- any ...
