Re: Expansions / DLC’s

Are you considering a DLC set on a desert map such as a hypothetical Russian intervention in the Gulf War I or 2 in Iraq?

RE: Truck Summary in logistics Phase Report is hard to understand:

2 - you don't. The rail repair support units operate as per 21.6.1. your on map FBD/NKPS you move manually

ok, thanks.

So, to clarify, there is no automated railroad repair in WitE2, but there is automated railroad repair in WitW?

RE: Truck Summary in logistics Phase Report is hard to understand:

1. where/how can I set the target priorities for the AI air assist system (as in WitW)?

2. where is the button to automate the railroad repair?

Thanks! I can't find these in the manual or any tutorials.

RE: Operation Torch?

Is there any plan to offer the early north african battles between the Germans and the British up to and including El alamein? Or a campaign that starts with the German forces arrival in north africa?

Thanks!

My RR repair unit has run out of supply, but still keeps repairing for 6 hexes as it was before it ran out of supplies. Is this a bug?

RE: How does cavalry raid Ft. Monroe?

<t> Yes, but I think the designers have incorporated or abstracted this foraging activity into the "raiding" action of the cavalry. And certainly, the cavalry had a major role in the foraging activities historically.<br/>

Granted, raiding is not the same as foraging, but it can be thought of ...

RE: How does cavalry raid Ft. Monroe?

<t> There is plenty of historical basis for effective cavalry raiding by the south. Most of Lee's advance up the Shenandoah valley and incursions into Maryland were largly supplied by "raiding" the surrounding countryside for supplies.<br/>

In fact at Gettysburg, while the cav was off ...

I would also like to say "great job" on the videos but I have one small nitpick.

Cavalry is pronounced "cavalry" not "calvary". [;)]

<t> Commander Europe at War is fabulous.<br/>

1. Complexity<br/>
Has just the right balance of complexity: not too many units to manage, yet has enough and the right size hexes to allow tactics, including cutting off supply, counter attacking supply lines, etc. 2-week turns mean not too ...

RE: questions and remarks

<t> In regards to #2, if you don't use cohesion, you can hopefully get in a quick strike to catch the enemy before he has launched his strike, catching the enemy planes loaded and fueled on the deck, al la the US success at Midway. The cost at Midway was the loss of almost all the torpedo bombers ...

I would be willing to concede Adam's point if he tells me he wins Midway or Coral Sea as the US several times in a row. Until then, I would say there is plenty of game here. For me, CAW is "more beautiful than I ever imagined". [:D]

One very minor thing... the German 150 Pz Bde is olive green. Did you want that to be gray like the other German units?

RE: Happy TOAD Tuesday! Version 3.0.0.17 is now available for download.

Its pretty hard to find.

First you have to log in to the matrix members area.

Then you have to register your TOAW3 game with your serial number.

Then you have to select registered downloads.

Then download and install.
