Re: one-day turns

Sounds interesting.

Not a fan of the 2 week turn, would have been more than pleased with one week turns. I can’t imagine one day turns. Don’t have the time to try it out but I hope it works out.

Don’t think it’s needed. There’s not THAT much to keep track of. The unit effectiveness and experience are pretty direct. An export or track-over-time function would be plenty, I think.

A tracker would be great, similar to the one for WitP:AE ?

RE: Solomons 1942; Cheeks (Allied) vs. AI (Axis)

<r> As I expected, the attacking 30th didn't scratch the SNLF at the same time suffered a strength loss & 11% effectiveness.<br/>
<br/>
I'm thinking that I'd probably learn more about the game mechanics if I were to play the Hotseat option.<br/>

RE: Solomons 1942; Cheeks (Allied) vs. AI (Axis)

<r> So, here's what things look like prior to the Aussie 1st Rgt. attacking the 6th SNLF Rgt.<br/>
<br/>
The odds appear to be 1:2 which would leave me to believe that the 6th will probably kick the crap out of the 30th.<br/>

Solomons 1942; Cheeks (Allied) vs. AI (Axis)

<r> I like to call this exercise "out of the frying pan and into the fire" because I really don't know what I'm doing - so if you're thinking that this AAR is somehow going to enlighten you, you'll be sorely disappointed. I figure the best way to learn WPP is just to play it and see what happens.<br ...

Took the leap

When Pacific War: The Struggle Against Japan was mention - it was an easy buy. And to be honest, anything about the Pacific is an easy buy.

A lot to learn here and I’m looking forward to it.

RE: OT: Board game War In The Pacific - Struggle Against Japan 1941 - 1945

I’ve placed my order for Pacific War: The Struggle Against Japan, 1941-1945. It had a P500 number and I see that that current order number is 1820.

I’m wondering what the timeline is going to be to get this game in my hands.

I'm thinking of getting Pacific War- Struggle Against Japan 1941 - 1945 for..., well no reason. I wondering if anyone here owns the game and their impressions.<br/>

Did any SciFi novels inspire Shadow Empire?

Per the subject title, I'm curious to see what SciFi books may have inspired the theme of this game. I may have to pull out my old Hammer's Slammers, Dune, or Old Man's War books to hold me over until the game is released.

Thanks Helpless. I'll just delete my steam version.

This is kind of embarrassing, I just noticed that I used the word "wear" instead of "where"..., and I consider myself and educated man (really, I have a BS in Engineering).
