Automatic Upgrades & Minor Allies

So kinda curious if minor allied nations that in the editor are marked as 'up-gradable' actually benefit from, say, Aerial Warfare, C2, Armor Warfare - stuff like that.

Do they get whatever increases might be in the major nation's current researched level?

I do know they get the upgrades for the ...

Re: Moving Research Titles in the Research Tree

Right, that's it - I should think of them as numbered slots, not 'techs', and each slot has an assigned, hard-coded functioning.

Thanks a lot.

Moving Research Titles in the Research Tree

Am I correct in thinking that if I swap something like Production Technology with Industrial Technology (or any of the 4 techs in the bottom right quadrant) then the program will not properly recognize them and things will be wonky?

Changing unit type in editor?

I suspect the answer for this is no, but would love Bill or someone very aware of the limitations to comment:

is it possible to change the type of a unit (target type) in the editor, under 'Combat Target Data' (say, from bomber to fighter)?

That would be an amazing capacity if so.

Re: Operational Movement

That's one adjustment.

Then you can adjust the way operational movement is assessed (cost) - percentage or flat cost per unit.

Then you can adjust how Logistics affects it's price per level development.

Agree about the light colored maps - easier on my eyes for sure. Also more immersive. Yep, I am interested for sure.

Re: TRP - World at War Released v0.8.21

If the game is set up for player vs. player, why are there so many objectives listed vs Vanilla? What does that do in player vs. player?

Re: How to.. in the editor...

Ancient thread, but eternal issue (figuring the editor out):

How to make a city a 'NM Objective' such that is shows up on the map in that manner?

EDIT: Found out, so will state for anyone else-

Has to be entered in the national_morale.txt file found in Scripts>Events folder

(and then 'Save As ...

Re: Why can't I declare war on spain?

Germany would never have allowed it, but as you are Japan and have invaded so much of the world (which would never have been possible), the question then is, was Spain leaning Axis? Meaning, 'toward Germany' and not at all toward The Japanese Horde.

Q: loss evasion

Was not able to actually find info on this via the forum, so asking:

Does loss evasion decrease the chance of incurring any loss (as if successfully rolled, there is zero loss) or does it reduce the actual loss suffered by a unit?

Re: TRP - World at War Released v0.8.19

I'm guessing that WaW TRP is geared against a human axis player? or totally for MP?

Reason is that time and again, in France 40 (in an AI vs AI test) the blitzkrieg is more like a hobblekrieg. France just makes the Germans look like, well, the Italians.

Not trying to denigrate the mod at all; I ...

Thanks all. Break well deserved, good lord.

Nice to finally see you on Youtube. It's very helpful to hear you explain things and fun to watch you play as well.

Enjoy the break, looking forward to when you rip into it again.

Are you concentrating on WiE at this time to get things nailed down, then will do an upgrade to SC:WaW?

Very interesting. I'm enjoying listening to you talk about your early interests and projects. Spanish Civil War... I would never have guessed.

Looking forward to listening to all of it. I think for a first interview, it's quite good.

Re: TRP - World at War ALPHA Released v0.7.6

Thank you, sir.

I understand the AI in the WaW for the Allies is default (not up to par). Is the Allied AI in the WiE version any better?
