RE: Transferring games to a new PC

<t> I would also like to have an update on how move-friendly Matrix' games are by now.<br/>

Last time I checked there is a serial number anchored in the registry and there was no straightforward way of moving that to a different computer other than reinstalling. That's a problem because of ...

RE: Getting "the new patch" for Market Garden

However, the "HTTR Strategy Guide" and the original HTTR game is available as a free download to owners of the BFTB/HTTR expansion pack.

Hmmm, and how do I get it? :)

RE: COTA

Wikipedia is still a good source, because every picture on there has very specifically stated what the license is if it is copyrighted, or whether it is public domain. Even if it is copyrighted with a license stated you will be able to use it in a commercial game if the license allows it.

Let me clarify one aspect here. When Co2 comes out we will re-release data packs for HTTR, BFTB and COTA. Existing owners will get these for free. All existing customers will have to do is pay for the upgraded engine to play all their existing ...

Standing by with my old XP notebook.

RE: Do you guys know that the patch servers are down?

No, this is about the public facing ftp server that feeds the links given on the product pages.

(and is probably behind the automatic patch mechanism but as I said that useless piece of code has no error messages or other diagnostics)

Do you guys know that the patch servers are down?

<t> The ftp server is supposed to be used with anonymous ftp but doesn't allow anonymous ftp.<br/>

This affects at least the website. The in-game "check patch" also fails but it doesn't say what it tries to do and it never prints actual error message so it's hard to say whether that is the ...

RE: Getting "the new patch" for Market Garden

<r> Allright, I ordered it.<br/>

The last nitpick was that I wanted the physical package for the base game but not for the Arnheim extension (I only need one printed manual for the new engine), but that isn't offered and the price would shoot up by another $27 shipped.<br/>

Sorry to warm up this thread but I learned that this doesn't actually include all of HTTR?

And HTTR is not for sale anymore.

Is this correct? Looks like I might have to find my physical box of HTTR :)

Oh that means even if I spend the $85 dollars to "upgrade my HTTR" I don't get to have the full game?

That's kind of a letdown.

RE: What do I need to play latest version

<r> <QUOTE><s>[quote]</s> There exists, at the moment, one add-on pack you can buy to add to CO:BFTB (which is needed as the base game) - the 'Highway To The Reich' module (covering Operation Market-Garden), which adds about 10 scenarios from the old, orginal HTTR to the new Command Ops engine.<e ...

OK.

I didn't want to come over as negative as it might have. Pathing in particular sounds like a great addition.

You don't have any information on that Wine question, right?
