RE: Advanced Naval Rules

Like GB needs more advantages. When ever the groups I've played with used those things, GB was imposible to beat.[:'(]

RE: renamed: wrong original heading

<t> Marshall, please keep up the good work. We who love and have played EiA, know how the rules can be.... interesting. <br/>
<br/>
I mean Austrian Insurrection corp, Russian cosacks, Turk feudals, Prussian friekorp all have their own nuances, depending on who owns what, and what month it is. <br ...

RE: Matrix may have blown this game

The best thing about EiA with an AI is.... The mewing, mewling, whining, whimpering, moaning... (hopfully) will thankfully be absent!

<t> If I remember correctly,<br/>
<br/>
French +1 or +2 20gd/3cav Factors<br/>
Russian +1 or +2 12gd/2cav<br/>
Prussian +1 only 8gd/1cav<br/>
Austrian +1 only 5gd/1cav, But they have TWO "guard" Units<br/>
<br/>
UK and Espania have 2gd factors in thier I corp</t>

Marketing Plan-Digital Download

[:D] Will EiA be Digital Download? Direct Sales? or is it planned for the regular retial deal?

I really like the download the game, play some and then get a KEY to unlock the whole game. Although the large manual my be a requirement for this labor of love.[&o]

<t> hubris and greed. The UK player thinks he can rule w/o friends. Then he keeps all his $$$$. About the second turn the paranoia kicks in as his navy sinks and/or gets blockaded and his little high moral army trys to fight off the corps his navy couldn't stop from landing.<br/>

I always thought you should have to take attrition in every area you retreat through. Plus it is always fun to pull defend instead of withdrawl.

<t>Turkey is one of the hardest Empires to take to war. You only need to win one battle with all that cal very. The key is mixing assaults with outflank. <br/>

I have seen the Turk lose 3 battles and then on the Fourth the Russian army pulled defend and then that outflank hits the second round ...

<t>The other thing that I have seen is Turkey/Spain go @ -1 $ when they are in the Neutral Area of the points chart. What happens is at manipulation you slide down a box than in Political status Adjustment you slide right (left) back up. The lower VP states can float in the Neutral Zone gaining 7/8 ...

<t>France has to be very careful if the Austria/Prussian alliance forms, 9 times out of 10 Spain will also jump in. Then you face the GB landings with 20-30 I tied down defending the Fleet That leaves around 100I to battle Prussia and Austria, with Spain trying to figure out how many to Guard their ...

Almost Always. At least +1 with Turkey, Spain, Prussia, Austria you usually have excess manpower, GB $$$$. France almost always +2 you need allot of points and GB will usually whip you with reduction (8.1.2)

What is the Most # of players winning?

One of the other treads was going on about winning the game. I have seen 6 players win the game, France got beat like a redheaded stepchild. Has anyone seen a 7 player victory.

The REALLY convoluted thing about this game is that technically EVERYONE can win! :) But if nobody wins, GB wins! Which leeds to my least fav rule. 8.1.2 The GB VP reduction rule.

As GB I try to trade as much as possible. Nothing will send Countries running to the French alliance quicker then a GREEDY GB. In Games where GB has been wrecked, it was because they wouldn’t trade and didn’t spread around any $$.

GB lose Dominant Status

Has anyone seen GB lose Dominant Status? I've seen France get gang raped about every third game and lose DS. But the slimy limeys always seem to wiggle off the hook or quit the game.
