Off topic a little (and I agree - surrender Prussia!) whats up with "Straslund"? That really ought to be "Stralsund".

Would one regiment with Washington and Von Steuben convert 2 companies per month?
They can, but they won't do the conversion every month.

RE: Supply - healing & consumption

'Healing' damaged subunits requires an excess of supply. If you can only just supply the army none of it's subunits can be healed. With the latest patch you pretty much need to have a depot to heal a fair number of units at once.

RE: Rebel AAR 1776-1783 scenario

<r> It’s all over. Other than the army that spent most of the war in St John, the remaining British forces are almost all provincials and militia. There is no way these can stand up to me. I have a dominant position for levies. It’s now just a question of how quickly I can secure the remaining ...

RE: Training & Tory Malitia

<t> The Brits can train tory militia into provincials, but not into trained regulars. Each training leader can train one subunit per month, but they won't always do so. I'm not sure what the odds of training per month are. It seems a little streaky to me - once I get a sucessful training in one ...

RE: British Strategy: can Boston be held?

<t> I always hold them in. I did this in the AAR I'm posting. The Brits have to attack your entrenchments. It's true that you lose a lot of troops, but they are usually just militia anyway. And the British army will be severely damged in the fight - it slows them a lot. And the AI isn't so good at ...

Washington didn't really capture Dorchester. He simply occupied it. Howe didn't have any troops that weren't on the Shawmut peninsula (modern downtown Boston).

RE: British Strategy: can Boston be held?

<t> In the game it's very viable. In real life the British felt that the population of New England was juts too hostile, and that they'd be better off forcing Washington's army to fight somewhere where it would have less militia support. It's not clear whether that was a good assessment or not - had ...
