RE: TOAW or TOW

Thanks for your responses guys. Josh , that is exactly my sentiments about TOAW. While I can still enjoy that game it will be refreshing to try one that is similar but with a softer center. Another fish yanked into the Matrix boat. [:)]

RE: TOAW or TOW

Thanks Borsook.

I suppose then that this is like neither of them and has cleared in own path through the forest of games. Nothing wrong with that. Thanks for the response.

TOAW or TOW

<t> Hi all.<br/>
<br/>
Once again Matrix is fishing with great bait and hooked this little fish on their line. Thinking of buying tonight if I can ask one question.<br/>
Is the gameplay more like TOAW with its more indepth historical feel and the feeling you are involved in a sweeping epic battle ...

RE: Is it just me ?

<t> When I wrote my OP I had just finished reading all the price threads that have sprung up in recent weeks. I could not understand how many people were trying to justify buying a game based on many hours they would enjoy it compared to the amount of dollars they spent on it. I fully believe they ...

Is it just me ?

<t> Hi all - not much of a poster but I have to ask if anyone else looks at buying wargames like I do?<br/>
I have been reading all the Price threads on some of the games just out/coming out and I fail to see how people can <br/>
base a decision on buying a game on how many hours of enjoyment they ...

RE: Price of this game.

<t> The whole shrinking PC market thing - as Wodin mentioned - appears to be a "dance of death". The smaller the market the higher the Devs and Publishers have to set their prices......... the higher the prices the smaller the active buyers.......<br/>
the smaller the group of buyers the higher the ...

<t> Hi Wodin<br/>
Hope you do not give up on some quality new blood around here. I dare say these many posts might not portray "the best". [:)] These kinds of issues tend to bring out the worst in some of us.<br/>
I am another professional lurker on this site and have many Matrix games. I have ...

Gotta thank you for having the cannonballs to come on here and post this type of AAR. Far from looking stupid, it demonstrates your thought processes in a way that I am sure a lot of us can identify with ( well , at least me anyway ). Like a nerd going to a new school and ...

RE: How do I download Forge of Freedom to my other pc?

Hey emike

Can you not simply burn the program that you downloaded onto your laptop onto a disk (a DVD disk since it is too big for your typical 700mg blank) and then load it onto your desktop that way? I did and had no problem

RE: Sound bug

<t> Hey JD<br/>
<br/>
When you load your save game let the song you hear end - when it does you will not here the music again. I , like you , hate music with my games and I stumbled on this when I had a little self control on one load up and let the music continue. So I suppose the music is truly ...

RE: Detailed Combat question

<t> Hey , thanks for the information guys. What you are suggesting makes perfect sense and reveals another level of realism built into the game. While I probably fall more on the playability side of the great Playability / Realism debate , I certainly appreciate a well made historical sim. As I am ...

RE: Detailed Combat question

<t> Okay , thanks Johnnie. I thought it might be something simple. I suppose I should have tried going up the scale of difficulty but I assumed that sargent was the level that did not give either side a boost and thus would see the AI attack regardless. In COG , you could always expect the "other ...

Detailed Combat question

<t> Hi <br/>
<br/>
I have started 5 or 6 games since P- Day (purchase) always as the CSA and have tried different things and read the manual as necessary. When I go into detailed battle mode (which looks great!!) I have almost always been on the defensive and herein lies my question. I always ...

RE: differences from CoG?

<t> Hey<br/>
&nbsp;<br/>
The fact that you guys are enjoying playing the game comes through loud and clear. Maybe thats what brings your AARs to life. In my mind , testers are just as important as Devs.&nbsp;Without them the game remains in its infant stages until released and the great unwashed ...
