RE: WIF and shipping to EU, my positive experience

They don't have to match it they print the DVD label with your name and serial number. Custom / hand made, the real sign of quality!

RE: Maps + Wall - Putting up Experience ?

<t> Still thinking about which part of the map I'm going to sacrifice. I'm considering to use the F1 maps as starting point (Eastern Canada, US). I wil run out of wall when I reach the E1 maps but that way I 'only' mis the Western US and have most of the Pacific Theatre intact.<br/> <br/> The maps w...

<t> My gaming DVD has my Full name and my serial on it. If I remember correctly the game was already added to my Matrix account when I wanted to add the serial so I wouldn't be so sure that he license is transferable.<br/> <br/> Maybe it will work as long as you play solitaire but doesn't netplay ch...

<t> I don't know what your interest in this matter is GoodGuy. RE: WIF and shipping to EU, my positive experience

<t> I just looked it up on the customs site. Like you mentioned here is no Import duty (< EUR 150 )<br/> <br/> The Matrix invoice lists the books, maps and a Backup disk (this could be interpreted as a disk containing PDF's of the included maps and books). VAT on books in the Netherlands is 6%. The ...

RE: Shipping when?

Don't worry. The 'real' package description mentions books and a backup disk with at total value of $40,-. My package was inspected by customs but there where no extra costs and I didn't see a VAT charge (maybe because of the $40 total value?).

WIF and shipping to EU, my positive experience

<t> Just woke up late (10 AM local, have a day off after a late shift) and saw I had a shipment notification. I didn't have time for my morning coffee let alone going to the tracking site because minutes later Fedex was already at my door delivering the package [:D]<br/> <br/> My package was Opened ...

RE: Don't forget the "etc."

<r> I really don't get this discussion. If you are a serious WiF player and you already have all the rules you can simply use Vassal module and play according to the latest rules and even your own in house rules are possible that way. The way I see it MWiF is a better option for people starting with...

RE: World in Flames on Parallels 9 for Mac...

I run it on an iMac (OS X Mavericks, Parallels 8, Windows 7 Pro on the VM). Shouldn't be a problem to run it on your hardware. Our graphics system differ but its not like this is the latest 3D shooter.

RE: Unit graphics.

<t> As I see it the high res unit counters are sized for zoom level 8. With lower zoom levels the graphics get down sampled an the unit texts printed on the left of the counter are harder to read. The funny thing is the graphics card 'Clear-type' setting influences the text on the counters so you mi...

<t> Hi Erik,<br/> <br/> I tried to update from the regular 7 november version. My OS situation is complicated. RE: Physical Only ?

<t> I must say I find it strange that the download includes everything I need to enjoy the game. It took some work but now the PDF's are on my iPad so the manuals will probably stay untouched when they arrive. Maybe Matrix games could add an option for the environmentally conscious. Same price but w...

RE: Physical Only ?

<t> The problem with boardgames is that when you have the complete rules and scenarios in PDF you can play the game. Just use Vassal or Cyberboard and you can play cheap, on line and free of charge. That is why you will always need a manual or scenario book to play the game. When those manuals are o...

RE: Case Yellow: Barthheart (German) vs Blind Sniper (Allied)

Lower command and control percentages increase the chance that 1 or more Army Corps (HQs) loose action points. Without those action points you can't move or attack.
