Re: Campaign Series: Vietnam v2.10.00 Public Beta Now Available

So how's this for DISRUPTED and FIXED text? I would leave the smaller print on right column - Out of Fuel, Unavailable, etc - as they are (frosted) as the effect will wear out, but for these larger highlight text this is easier in the eye, yes?

As for the frosted text, I checked the code that ...

Just thought I'd give some quick feed back after having a quick lookaround.

Revisiting this topic , I'm sorry to say there has been no difference in the scrolling behaviour, the map will still scroll when I move the mouse to the lower screen.

I've noticed the full screen window doesn't quite ...

This. I was going to say the same thing. Give them tooltips as well to make it clear what they are.

Re: Sneak Peeks, Coming Attractions, Works-In-Progress

While I like the look of the new unit list, it looks too wide for my liking. It just feels like it taking up too much map space.

My suggestion would be to the place thermometers underneath their respective stat so you could reduce that dead space. Here's a quick mock up:

Just an FYI, the bottom 4 images won't display.

Dangit, that's right, I was pointing to pictures at our private Dev Forum, and it showed for me as long as I was logged in for I have access there. But to any one else, or if not logged in, they did not show.

I took some new screenshots with ...

Re: Bug with static all toolbar and problem with scrolling

Sorry forgot to reply to this.

Also, I find the scrolling when using a top & bottom dual screen set up very annoying. I have the main game screen on my top monitor and when moving the mouse to the bottom screen (to read the manual for instance) the game will keep scrolling. It doesn't make a ...

Bug with static all toolbar and problem with scrolling

(Updated to the new beta)

When you set the toolbar to static all, the circled buttons have the wrong images for their function, the mouseover tip is correct for the actual function.

Re: Sneak Peeks, Coming Attractions, Works-In-Progress Redux

And finally, the old Victory dialog has now become the Mission Status tab in the SITREP dialog , too.

Not much has changed here. I made use of the available space, shuffled things around slightly, and added a new summary level for points per side before displaying the total.

Is there anything ...

Re: Map Making - QGIS style layers

Ok, no worries. There were some bugs in v2 that annoyed me, which I don't want to go back to, so I'll stick with v3 and work around the problems. I don't think they're too major.

Map Making - QGIS style layers

Have these been or are being updated? I'm using QGIS v.3.34 and the elevation styles from the old FCRS set don't work on that version. The vector styles seem to be okay though.

Re: Map making- rivers

Plodder, great to see you back in action. I will get WIlliam to get you a final answer, but there are 3 types of water crossings. Small streams (faint hex edge waterways), small rivers (the hex edge crossing requiring a bridge), and large rivers (full hex water that needs two spans to cross).

I ...

Map making- rivers

Hey all,
Getting the old itch again and looking at the terrain data types, I was wondering about rivers.

We currently have Major and Minor with Major rivers being >18 m across. This means in game terms that any river 20m wide is the same as a 500m wide river. I think this is too coarse IMO. I'd ...

Any chance of hiding that big announcements block that takes up half the screen real estate in every forum? Or at least keep it to the main page?
