I don't get what people like about duels. Everything seems to become so cut-and-dry compared to an actual squad versus squad battle.

I think aging could be interesting if its effects were made optional. What happens when a 90 year old jock with alzheimers tries to operate a neural based assault titan anyway?

Time and patience is fine, but it just doesn't seem to be much fun going through tons of overkill battles so you can actually afford to participate in something challenging.

Luckily, I guess, this has ceased to be a problem for me as the leader just got decapitated by a tesla in a random battle against an inferior opponent. Good sign to recreate the team.

If you just hit F7 and save at the beginning of every battle you really can't go wrong. You can always then replay it if it doesn't end the way you wish.
