RE: Turn 03

<t> I motorize all but a single Div of 18th Army on turn 1. Set to go back to regular infantry turn 2.<br/>
<br/>
Turn 3, I motorize 1st Panzer Infantry Corps and sometimes an additional one for them to reach the front, which is usually over the Dnepr and cutting off Kiev. The go back to regular ...

RE: Advice on how to play "Destruction of Southwestern Front" as Axis

<t> I play with FOW on so it is a bit harder than without finding the weak spot to exploit. But if you can find the weak spot and blast thru, it will cause the AI to fall back to another defensive line. Makes it harder to pocket large numbers after turn 2-3 but better than forcing a crossing across ...

RE: Advice on how to play "Destruction of Southwestern Front" as Axis

<r> Odessa can be taken quick, I normally set ALL of Luft 4 to auto naval with Odessa as the target. Not always but most of the time I can have it taken by turn 6, heavily interdicted by turn 3. I use 1 mainly German 11th Army Corps and 2-3 Romanian Corps, if I have been getting some good ...

RE: Advice on how to play "Destruction of Southwestern Front" as Axis

<t> You have to push hard and fast, virtually exhausting 1st Panzer by turn 5. Getting the rail closer to Kiev by turn 7 can be a chore. I tend to rest most of 1st Panzer until turn 7 before pushing onward. I also assign an additional infantry Corps to 1st Panzer and will use temp motor to get them ...

RE: Advice on how to play "Destruction of Southwestern Front" as Axis

<r> Lvov pocket is the key. You need to push really hard. 95% of the time, I can have most of 1st Panzer across the Dnepr on turn 3, 85% or so I have Kiev isolated by turn 5 and let 6th Army take it on turn 6.<br/>

PT Boat Question

<t> Okay, been a long time away...........Played original heavily. In original, PT Boats were immune from naval attacks except low level strafe............ie, Betty ignored them totally.<br/>

I have noticed my Betty's launching torp attacks against PT Boats and PT Boats only. Just had a ...

<t> I am Chi's opponent, had all my IJN CV's marked as do not resize, well they resized anyway on patch application. Now I gotta cherry pick my land based fighter units for pilots for CV duty. I got a bunch of pilots with 55-60 overall and 70 air skill and mid 60's strafe and even low naval scores ...

RE: How quickly does Japanese production increase

<t> Whoops, misunderstood your post, but you did not say you actually expanded them in first post.<br/>
<br/>
Best way to get supplies to move is max supply demand to the base in question. Main base screen, left side, take demand to 25,000. Next turn you will find 50-80,000 supply there if in the ...

RE: How quickly does Japanese production increase

Think your noodle is fogged. LOL

Japanese industry does not expand unless you do it. Only real "auto" expansion will be R&D factories going into production etc. Everything else, you will have to manually expand, and pay the price for if you go too far with it.

RE: Japanese fighter & Bomber altitudes

<t> Gonna depend on time frame and who your dealing with. My game in June 42 (as Japan), I regularly nuke the Chinese with my Sally bomber force for 3-600 losses per day. My bombers fly at 8000 feet. Using 4 bomber units of roughly 36 each. They do eat up supplies. But I hardly take any losses.<br ...

<t> Try a titanium tub instead of a iron tub.......that is what the A10 pilot sits inside. <br/>
<br/>
The A10 would work, god knows it was designed to operate over Europe during a WW3 style war. It flew over Iraq, even sustained massive damage and brought the pilot home in Desert Storm IIRC.<br ...

RE: Funerals are FUN?

<t> Sorry, I disagree, I prefer to see them tossed. We showed respect to all OUR dead. Over my 3 combat tours I am extremely desensitized to enemy deaths which I could care less about. But let a soldier pop off while we bagged one of our own and I would lose it on their ass. There should never be ...

RE: Funerals are FUN?

<t> Personally, I find it a disgrace and would love to see each and every one of them tossed out on their ass with dishonorable discharges. I performed many a funeral detail while active duty back in the 80's, over 80 of them and we always approached our duty with the utmost respect. We practiced ...

<r> I want to see Pole dancing made a Olympic summer game. Takes extreme athletics to pull off what some can do. Here is a good example (and yes it is fully clothed and safe for work and kids):<br/>
