FOW Mod

<t> I'm using Bman's mod, and I think it changes how the FOW works for night missions and alien base missions. Although, these may just be extremely dark in vanilla too. What I'm wondering is if there's a way to brighten these missions a little. I know I could up the brightness on my monitor, but I ...

RE: Matrix and no shop sales policy

<t> It sounds a bit too much like wishful thinking if you don't think Matrix would take a loss by publishing all/most titles to retail. Wargames are a niche market and I can't imagine anything but the more polished and mainstream titles doing well. As a gamer, there is no way for me to know whether ...

RE: Saints and Soldiers

Yeah, I caught this in the theater about 9 months ago. It's a pretty good movie. Most of the theaters near me had it playing, and there are quite a few copies on the rental shelves right now.

RE: Off-topic: NY Times says Episode III is better than Star Wars

<t> I know most people say Episode III was leaps and bounds better than Episode I and II, but I just can't see how. The only thing III suceeds at is inundating us with CGI battles and light saber duals. It's fine, but Lucas is playing the same tune that we saw in I and II. The plot? Well, as far as ...

What to buy...

<t> I enjoy tactical and strategy games both real-time and turn-based. And, Rome:TW isn't cutting it for me anymore. I was going to reinstall Korsun Pocket, but I can't find my CD anywhere (the woes of moving and losing things). <br/>

Yep, finding it in the US wasn't all that easy for me either. Neither Best Buy nor Media Play had it. I was planning on buying online 'til I spotted a lone copy at Babbages.

Won My First Battle and Supply Question

<r>My first two games playing the 1st Ukraine Front resulted in draws. This is with Computer - and hidden units. Everything else was standard. But, the third game I squampled. 367 more victory points. Surrounding the enemy so they can't retreat rules! <E>:D</E><br/>

But, I have a question. How ...

<t>I had a similar problem, the game wouldn't load up from the "Korsun Pocket - Game Menu". Had to do the whole end-task thing. It didn't happen everytime, but since I started using the Korson Pocket Quick Load link I've had no problems. So, if you haven't tried that, you might want to give it a try ...

Any chance of a resolution option in future patches? Magnifying bits of the map is nice, but it'd be really nice to have the hexes and text about 150% their current size.

Or, maybe someone here is kind enough to buy me a 19" monitor? :D

Lower Resolution

<r>Is it possible to lower the resolution in-game to like 800x600? It would sure help a-lot to have the hexes a little bit bigger. It's pretty hard to distinguish units as it is.<br/>
<br/>
Changing the resolution in windows didn't make a difference. And, neither did editing the irunin.ini Width ...
