RE: taking back a move

I figured out that you have to do the take back right away before clicking on another hex or unit. That was my original mistake. Great Game! Thanks[:)]

Overseas supply?

<t> I'm playing my first game against the Axis AI. The Royal Navy has swept the Mediterranean of all Axis ships, save an Italian sub. There is a huge Axis army in North Africa threatening Egypt. Is there anything more the Allies can do to reduce Axis supply in North Africa? It seems to me that it ...

RE: taking back a move

I tried that and nothing happened. I'm playing my first game so I'm not using fog of war. I selected the unit right after i moved and hit ctr. Z and nothing happened. I didn't move anything after the move I wanted to take back.

taking back a move

Hello

I seem to recall reading somewhere in the manual about taking back a land move, as long as it didn't reveal the location of a unit. What is the mechanism for taking back a move, assuming this is possible?

Thanks

Movement issues

<t> I'm playing through my first game against the AI, as the Allies. I notice that some Chinese units can't move into certain hexes. Specifically, the HQ Feng in the north can't move across the river (East) to get closer to the units he is commanding. It is mountainous terrain, but does this mean he ...

RE: Naval Engagements in this version?

<t> I think the WWII grand strategy game that does the best job simulating naval combat, capturing the chance for surprise as well the hit and miss nature of trying to find an enemy fleet in a large ocean is the board game 'World in Flames.' This is a hex-based game but the oceans are divided up ...

RE: Reinforcing question

OK, in my map there is a brown 5 in port of London. That must be why I can't reinforce the ship beyond 8. Next question: Why is supply so low? England has not been bombed or shelled. How do I get supply back up?

Thanks

RE: Reinforcing question

I don't see a strength of 12 when I inspect the properties of London. It has a supply of 5 and it also has a 100% in the box at the bottom of the screen. How do I see the strength of the port?

RE: Reinforcing question

OK, I looked at the Port and that is not the problem. I have a CA at 8 that cannot reinforce to 10 in the major port of London. London has not been bombed or damaged in any way. Any other ideas?

Thanks

Building fortifications?

<t> I'm playing Single player as Allies against Axis AI.<br/>

France has an Engineer. I moved him to Paris and I'm trying to build a fort in Paris. When I right-click on the Engineer and try to select fortify, fortify is subdued. How do I build a fort in Paris?<br/>

Reinforcing question

<t> Hi<br/>
<br/>
I'm playing single player, Allies against AI Axis. I've had a number of understrength ships in UK ports. I can reinforce them up to 8 points, but nothing greater. They are at supply level 10 and UK has plenty of MPPs. Why can't I reinforce them to full strength of 10?<br/>

Computer movement?

<t> I'm still working my way through my first game against the Computer Axis. I've noticed that the computer movements are very strange in that they move units all over the map, then shift them around some more, than move units in territories, then out, then in, then back out again. I see ships ...

Research?

<t> Do you have to apply a research point to have any chance of increasing that units' skill each turn? Say, for example, I'm researching fighter evasion: I spend a research point in Su40 to from 4/6 to 5/6. Then the next few turns I don't spend anything on that skill. Will that skill have a chance ...

Signal intelligence screen?

How do you open the signals and intelligence screen? In the rules it says the button is on the left side of the screen. I don't see it.

Thanks

Can't save game

<t> How do you save the game? I'm playing for the first time (against the AI). I click on the Save icon, then click on the save icon in the save game screen. It prompts me to enter a name for the save game. I type in my name then click on the "check" button. I get an error message saying "ERROR ...
