How could TOAW4(5?) handle larger scenarios with more than 2 players?

What's nice about TOAW4 is that PBEM files don't have to be emailed. They can be uploaded and downloaded directly to and from discord. They don't even require zipping.

Some of the most attractive scenarios to me are these huge ones approaching Grand Strategy size. It would be glorious to be able ...

Re: Any game like Steel Panthers on the horizon?

I could see where improved graphics and animation, could really rock this game specifically, higher definition. realism, maybe bigger battlefields. My favorite was SP3.

Re: The Operational Art of War V

My thoughts on how this could work would be that the map would be divided up into as many sections as are players on a side - by the head-player. Then each player can then operate simultaneously on their map section. When the enemy head-player gets all turn-parts, he begins the same process from ...

Teammates wanted!

If you enjoy playing toaw4 pbem and would like to participate as a teammate in monster scenarios (we're about to begin Pacific at war 1941-1945) please let me know. In order for teamplay not to drag the turns out too far, we're really looking for players willing to wait 4 days for a turn, and then ...

Re: The Operational Art of War V

It would be nice if there was some way to open a savefile and merge your move with it. This way, team players could all move at the same time. I guess I'm still on the same kick. What can I say. Wars are fought as teams. For realism's sake, I enjoy playing as part of a team.

The Operational Art of War V

If I were to look at the history of toaw; -and I've had every version except WGOY, it seems to me, that what this game wants to do, is be able to handle bigger scenarios. So I've done some thinking...

As one who tried hard to get a group for the beautiful looking World at war 1939-1945 I could ...

Nice to know the game has it. Perhaps in Waw1939-1945 it wasn't enabled. Someone mentioned it to me.

Bombing restriction

Toaw4 has introduced many monster scenarios, making those, and others better. However, with larger scenarios can come more countries. I'm hoping they can find a way to restrict bombing to only the countries at war. Otherwise, these large 'monster' scenarios are affected negatively.

Re: Europe 2022

He's now starting turn 4. I'm playing Ukraine /Nato. I'm willing to pick up a partner if someone wants part of Nato. We can exchange .sal files. I'm pretty busy with Ukraine. But he invaded 2 weeks early and is using Belarus troops. Unlike under Biden the USA won't be the shaky gun.

Re: Anti-ship air missions

I guess the thing about survive-ability is in the altitude flown, more than the aircraft type. It would be nice if the type of attack could be selected. Dive bombing,Torpedo bombing, high and low and level bombing, and have that affect defense and attack strengths.

I think loss calculation ...

Re: Anti-ship air missions

Ya know...a more simple fix for this would be to simply adjust the attack strength for aircraft based on their 'losses' setting. Torpedo bombing would be 'ignore losses' dive or low level bombing would be 'limit losses' and high altitude level bombing would be 'minimize losses'. The setting would ...

Anti-ship air missions

These numbers: 240 for torpedo bombers, 120 for dive bombers, seem to be begging for an update. First torpedo bombing in WW2 was as close to a guaranteed suicide mission as they come. So maybe you could give them a high number but their survival would have to be doubtful. There should be some way of ...
