This scenario is stock with toaw4. We need a player for Germany in order to start.

2 games are played. 4 players in the ETO and 2 in the PTO. Units transiting between theaters need only to be moved in both games.

This 4-player 'Europe only toaw4' can be expanded to global 6-player without the hassle we had, if we simply play 2 games of the same scenario at once. Let me say, that in CFNA 40-43, this idea that, because an infantry unit is motorized, that it can't cross dunes at leg speed, is totally unrealistic. This allows Italians, with mostly leg infantry, to move across dunes that 80% of UK infantry can't. That's gamey AF.

I don't consider it necessarily realistic. But unless you house-rule it out, it has to be expected. Long supply lines require some defense.

Hex of Steel is from a long line of serial attack format games going back at least to Panzer General. The changing odds of making serial attacks offers the feel of an ongoing battle, opening creative possibilities. Toaw ofc offers this as well by having 10 rounds, so serial attacks can occur. Maybe it would be more interesting for the players if every 13 turns or so (3 months game time) you rotate the players. Someone might get a little bored playing Italy for 6 years.
