If you are attacking, you don't need the CD or DP guns. You need infantry and artillery units. Once you capture the base then the minefield will disperse much faster.


The starting defense at Bataan is 0 AS - two base units I believe. So a lucky paradrop could take the base if enough men jump ...

There are no automatic coastal defenses if you are thinking that there are no guns there but shots are fired. You may be thinking of narrow straits where the ships will automatically be fired on by CD guns but only if the CD guns are there. In my understanding, DP guns would be treated like CD ...

I recommend grouping the CVs keeping 2 things in mind. First, try to keep each TF < 200 planes. Second, keep in mind the speed of the carriers and group them within a knot or two of each other.

Hmm... I have 6 CVs and 3 CVLs split into 3 magic move TFs. Leaning towards 4 CVs & 2 CVLs hitting Manila and the others trying for Force Z.

While I am re-using a lot of the Java code, it's all being re-done in Python.
I'm also making some architecture changes along the way to make start-up a lot quicker.
