US 8th AF city bombing missions start in Noto

<t> I haven't found any post on this subject but it is rather obviously a bug: when playing the 1943-45 campaign scenario, the US 8th AF city bombing missions targetting German cities all have default starting base in Noto Sicily. This makes the missions fail of course and there's no workaround ...

RE: AE my conclusion

Please put this thread aside and let it be forgotten. Open a new discussion. I didn't mean all I've said because of my anger and frustration. What I really meant was that I will not participate to this forum any longer and tend to other occupations. Do forgive me.

RE: AE my conclusion

<t> Ok then here we go: <br/>
1) as an aside I'm not sure the program itself isn't corrupted since I've been having the Betty's image on the map again while playing (see my previous bug report).<br/>
2) You will probably give an explanation to these points but:<br/>
Carrier to carrier combat, I ...

RE: AE my conclusion

<t> My considerations are based on the AI's performance. By AI I mean what control of the game you don't have yourself. I won't go into the details because there are far too many things that I've found inconsistent. I don't have the impression that playing the Grand Campaign is going to change how ...

AE my conclusion

After four runs as the Japanese in the Guadalcanal scenario (even at Historical level) I've come to the conclusion that this game was designed with the IJN being complete idiots. You won't be hearing any more from me.
Regards.

Search perimeter radius freeze

<t> I've posted this bug in the general discussion yesterday. When playing Japanese, if you try to set the radius of a naval search squadron "on map", and you click on the map, the game freezes. I continued playing after that (after clicking escape key) but have seen many inconsistencies in the AI ...

Dangerous manipulation

<t> There seems to be something one shouldn't do in this game: when assigning a radius on a search plane squadron's naval search perimeter, do not specify "on map" and try clicking on it. Somehow after I did that the game went bezerk. Amongst other things you could see an image of a Betty hovering ...

RE: AE my impressions

Question: could someone please tell me when the Guadalcanal scenario ends? It's not on Feb 7 '43 since I'm still playing in March of '43.

My carriers being all back in Noumea, after how long or under what conditions are their sorties replenished? (they haven't since three turns).

AE my impressions

<t> Ok this is going to sound like spoil fun.<br/>
I'm playing the Guadalcanal scenario. I must say that I'm impressed by all the additions to the user interface and the new map etc... nothing to say here, my compliments. However, playing this scenarion I've noticed a few things when comparing to ...

Units disappearing?

I'm not sure if this is a feature but on my last Arnhem game, after having applied the 1.01 patch, some or all Coy units of the 82nd Airborne disappeared between the second and the fourth turn. Have the units combined into a battalion or is there a bug?

Are you still looking for an opponent? I'd play the allies against you considering that you're looking for a tough game. I've sent you my email.

RE: Opponent wanted NikMod

Is the version of the new mod 7.0? If so then the correct scenario would be #46 with the same rules applying (same map I guess?).

Opponent wanted NikMod

<t> I'm looking for an opponent to play scenario 145 (Nik's Mod with Andrew's Map v6.2), either side (I'm a weaker Japanese player), game version 1.800.1. Player def. upgrades, no subdoctrine, 1 day turns. European Time Zone would make it easier to play 2 turns a day. If you object to Nik's mod ...

RE: CHS Scen 51 no carrier battle?

<t> I've tried Nik's mod for '42 but there wasn't any way of getting the correct map layout. It isn't a question of map mod version because the extended map scenario from Andrew Brown's site works very well for me (the one for slot 155 if I recall correctly). I'm trying David Freer's scenario 50 ...

CHS Scen 51 no carrier battle?

<r> I'm not sure there's any support for all these different mods, I guess I should have stuck with the official scenarios. Anyways here it is: I'm playing a May 42 scenario with CHS and there are a few flaws in the database, but besides that I've been in the situation of the the embedded picture ...

Opponent for Andrew's mod scen '41

<t> Hello,<br/>
<br/>
I'm looking for an opponent using Andrew's map mod 4.01 and Witp version 1.6. Japanese or Allied. The Grand Campaign starting Dec 7 '41 (day after Pearl Harbour). Preferably in the European time zone, in which case I can manage a couple of turns per day. FOW, player def ...
