RE: Google maps and bitmap underlays

<r> The landscape has changed a lot since 1944, so I don't think Google Maps is that useful.<br/>
<br/>
For maps covering the southern Netherlands in CO, I've used 1:25.000 maps from 1943/1944.<br/>

Yes, it's mine. It has been a long time since I've designed it, I don't remember what my sources for the involvement of 48 Arm Inf Bn were. I'll look it up and will get back to you.

<t> I have a book called 'The battle of the Bulge- Operations of the 3rd Fallschirmjäger Division' by Hans J. Wijers. There's no info in it on the period Dec 16- 19, but from Dec. 19 3rd Fallschirmjäger Division attacked in the area Weywertz-Maimes (between the 1 SS Pz and 12 SS Pz). After the ...

The reason I often assign points for time of control (and did so in the Tutorial scenario) is that it forces a player to try to gain control of an objective as early as possible. If points are only given for controlling an objective at the end of a scenario, a player could ...

<t> I've created some cavalry unit for my May 1940 scenarios. I've used 9/16 kph form normal/max speed, but you can easily adjust the values in the Estab Editor.In fact, you'll have to build all units and much of the equipment from scratch with the Estab Editor, if you want to create a 1914 scenario ...

<t> No, these values are exactly the same in the BFTB and Normandy Estabs. When I created the Normandy Estab, I just added some units, weapons and vehicles to the BFTB-Estab and called it 'Normandy' The values of all weapons and vehicles also present in BFTB are exactly the same.<br/>

RE: Brabant breakthrough

Yes, you have to build the bridges to earn the point. I've done this because historically the Germans needed bridges to move the 9. Panzer across the river- and they needed them quickly.

Happy to hear you're enjoying the scenarios!

[:o] I renamed one of the maps- then forgot about it.

I've deleted the 'Waalwijk' map from the Zipfile, and added 'Den Bosch 40'. Here's the new version, please let me know if this works.

I believe you are confusing the bridge across the Rhine at Arnhem (now called John Frostbrug) and the bridge across the river Waal at Nijmegen.<br/>
Both were blown in May 1940. The Waalbrug was opened for traffic in 1943, the Rijnbrug in August or September 1944.<br/>
