RE: Windows 8 / 8.1 Compatibility

Win 7 compatibility did not work for me. There are black boxes around troops and boxes around trees.

RE: BLACK squares around units on the field ?

Hoping for a quick fix!! [:)]

Just bought for my Win 8 laptop and am going away on business. Thought this would keep me busy.

Hoping to buy for the win7 desktop when I get home.

Purchase Discount

<r> I ordered both the Civil War and the Napoleonic collection yesterday, in the same order, and don't believe I got the $10.00 discount. Could you please look into that for me (<EMAIL email="wlambrukos@comcast.net">wlambrukos@comcast.net</EMAIL>).<br/>

RE: Disengage Ships

<t> Thanks. Of course, I have not seen the scuttle button either. I've taken some pretty significant damange on ships without the buttons being visible to me (as opposed to me saying they are not there). Where exactly would the button be? I've assumed it would be on the lower left, opposite the ...

Disengage Ships

<t> Maybe it has just been dumb luck, but it seems I have never seen the opportunity to disengage a damanged ship from a task force. I've had them where they are pretty beat-up, and I'll select them, but never see the button mentioned to disengage them (to let the rest of the TG speed up). Is there ...

RE: Bombardment missions unstoppable?

<t> Yup, a bombardment force can be turned away. Playing the Americans, I stopped two of them from getting to Henderson, and what was left of them retreated. What really bugged me was the Jap carrier fleet never moved west to engage me while I sat between Gili-Gili and Henderson pounded the living s ...

RE: First impression not good

<t> Thank you for the feedback. However, am I correct that this would mean creating each team player by player (which is the only way I thought it could be done)? <br/>

In LaRussa, Weaver, and Strat-O-Matic you can create a league and just drop an entire team, from whatever year you want ...

RE: First impression not good

<t> I've been searching for that great baseball game too. It should not be hard, LaRussa and Weaver (back in the 80's?) hit it. It was great to play any team from any era against any other team. I set up a league with the 67 Red Sox, 68 Detroit, 69 Baltimore, etc and play a full season with these ...

Well, they do have graphics for the attack, but they did not retain THE attack animations from the original game. The new graphics are better. I think, but could be wrong, you can turn them off.<br/>

RE: Pearl Fiasco?

It could be you are attacking outside of the "green" range circle, but within the red (if I remember my colors). In short, if you are not close enough when you launch the attach you planes don't go fully armed and/or some don't go at all I would imagine.
