RE: New Beta Update Available

The way you can now refit individual units on the map is fantastic.

Thanks

RE: Cavalry and Class ?

I've been only using them to take ground without using an activation point but I felt there should be more use for them.

Good added stuff. I'll try that.

Thanks.

Cavalry and Class ?

Consensus, what's the best way to use Cavalry most effectively ?
Also, how much better is an A unit vs B vs C assuming the same strength and readiness values ?

RE: Review @ Out of Eight

<t> As per my opinion of the game I couldn't care less about any review at this point. I read the posts of the people of this forum, figured they had an interest in history and wargaming like myself and took the plunge to my immense satisfaction.<br/>
My guess is that everyone who's already playing ...

<t> I have another couple of questions.<br/>

In order for Assault troops to benefit from their bonuses during an attack is it necessary for the entire stack to be composed of these Assault troops or is only one corps (per stack) needed ?<br/>
I've used one per stack with great results but ...

Naval Question

When sending out a "shipping" mission do you (or should you) also send out a "patrol" mission in the same sea zone so as to protect your shipping or is that not necessary ?

Barracks as well as the age of the recruits and the time spent training them. The barracks are changed per province the other settings are changed on the Economic adviser screen. I think the best you can get is to set your Min Age to 21, your Max age to 30 and months training to 20.

RE: Longer Detailed battles

Carburo,

I didn't feel it necessary to go into the details of these battles. For the record I didn't use "cheap tactics" and I had them cooked and pinned etc...[;)] I let the AI finnish the battles and they never ended.

Longer Detailed battles

<t> Anyone else noticing longer detailed battles (1.2.18) with the new casualty rates?<br/>
Battles (haven't timed them) take longer now as units seem to take longer to rout because of the new casualty rates. No big deal, just got used to the 1.2.16 times. But I also noticed that in some battles ...
