RE: Hidden A2A pop-up forms

<t> I just posted in one of the other threads my frustration with this. I think it's definitely an issue with dual monitors. I'll try just keeping everything on my primary display to see if it eliminates it; great if it does but disappointing if I can't get all the other various windows off to the ...

RE: Pop Up disappearing behind main form

<t> This issue is annoying as f*** and is the reason why I've never really played this thing. I thought maybe it was because I was using duel monitors. I've played around with the "use only primary monitor" checkbox but that doesn't seem to do anything. The game definitely doesn't lock up- it is ...

RE: My experience of Toth

I don't think that Peter can show actual values for the same reason (whatever that reason) is that he can't show an IFT or the dice rolls. Somebody feel free to correct me if I'm wrong-

RE: My experience of Toth

Yes, full ASL has spotters for mortars (ASL Starter Kits do not however).

RE: My experience of Toth

<r> If Peter could do 3 things, this would be a killer game and would be as complete as far as the ASL Starter Kits go: 1. Add smoke. It's essential in ASL and I don't know why he doesn't have it in here. 2. Rotate the silly tanks instead of using the little arrows. It's minor but it's annoying ...

RE: Be able to play all the original Lnl boardgames in this game

Probably not possible due to the different map (squares vs hexes) but I'd *love* to see a mod for Day of Heroes! Could it be possible perhaps?

RE: scenario based game ?

I don't understand the expectation that once you pay for a game, you're entitled to lifelong updates and additions.? Bug fixes that break the game and should of been caught in development, sure, but free enhancements by the way of additional features and more content (scenarios)?

RE: Price comparison and choices

<t> I think a more fair comparison would be ToTH to the ASL Starter kits, of which you can get SK1 for about $25. The gameplay in ToTH more closely aligns with the starter kit rules with a few major exceptions (firegroups and smoke/Smoke). But again, as Peter has stated many times, ToTH is it's own ...

RE: With all due respect...

<t> Rob, I would venture to say that people that play only TOTH for their ASL-fix are a) people not interested in learning how to play ASL (i.e., reading the ASLrb) and/or b) are people that only like to play solitaire games on the computer with an AI and/or c) don't own any ASL and don't care to ...

RE: Feature Request

<t> I would think that it would be rather possible to have it so that if you click a hex with units, you could then click the top line of text (where you normally ctrl-click) that has the Hex ID info to select ALL the units in the hex. You could then left click to deselect individual units/items. If ...

RE: Dual monitor auto scrolling

<t> I have the same and it will scroll but it requires a bit of a fine touch to find the "sweet spot" to activate the scrolling when going to the side where the monitor extends. <br/>
<br/>
Typically, on the side where it doesn't extend, you can just throw your mouse all the way over to the side ...

Was that "Old Wargamer" site mostly about tabletop (miniature and board) gaming or was it mostly Old Wargamers gaming in the New medium (computer)?

My main concern is if the game is heavily reliant on making your own scenarios rather than generating random ones. The game looks interesting and I am not a stranger to war gaming prices or prices of games in general since games are ...

RE: Feature Request

<t> Gerry: For example I played the "Pavlov's House" scenario from the VotG HASL with an ASL gaming buddy yesterday and it was an exciting challenge to sequence my defensive fires from one of the fortified locations knowing that he had at least 3 HS's with DC's, a flamethrower and who knows what ...

RE: Feature Request

<t> That's the answer. This is a game - it's not a simulation - and giving the player the decision of whether or not wor what with to firegroup adds choices for the player and thus adds to the flavor of the game. In ASL, whether or not to firegroup (or say, fire just the SW) during first fire ...

RE: Unable to interdict?

<r> I had this come up twice last night- I'm assuming that the AI low crawled (though I swear that in at least one case it moved more than the single hex) as I was unable to interdict where I clearly would of been able to normally. Suggestion Peter - can you have the output box indicate when a unit ...
