Re: RTW3: v1.00.76 Public Beta Now Available

For some reason the columns in the ships in service and under construction tabs keep getting wider and wider.

Is there a way to change the text font? I find the update makes it a bit harder to read.

What setting would you recommend for realistic progression on very large?

Do you have to promote admirals manually (with the loss of prestige)? I'm down to three admirals for six areas.

AI continues to build prop planes

Even in 1970 the AI keeps building floatplanes, as well as the other pre-jets. Weird.
Also it seems like research is a little fast on the larger fleet sides, with jet-capable carriers showing up in the mid-40s.

RE: On Ships and their Counterparts

I would actually prefer not to have real footage. One of the jarring aspects of the original BARIS was the incongruity of real combined with artistic depictions needed to represent configurations which were never used. (For example, an Apollo on a Titan with boosters.)

<t> The columns represent the percentage of the troops available from that side which are actually committed, with the number being the total number of strength points. I'm not sure whether it only counts infantry/militia, or if cavalry and artillery are factored in.<br/>

Union running out of supplies

I seem to have supply shortages as the Union, even when winning, starting in mid 1864. Am I overrunning my supply lines, and if so, how do I push supplies to the front. (Do I have to manually forage?) There seems no way to build depots, so things start grinding to a halt.

All your ships need to be connected by a transport chain to friendly (home) territory. So just keep a single transport in the zone that's next to the New England Coast and the Blockade zone and you'll be fine.

Corps composition.

I've found things go much easier now that I don't put HA into my corps, and only give artillery to CCs whose Art rating is at most one worse than their Infantry rating.

<t> For the first time I've seen the CSA build commerce raiders after the EA. They are now up to 10, and have only finally stopped building them six months after the EA. It's early 1863, and I have a hard time, with thirteen cruisers (under two commanders, with a full rota of sub-commanders ...

I understand the mechanics of attching them, I'm just curious how the game assignes specific units to them in combat.
